Thru The Window

I love the Windows to the World series by Art Impressions and recently purchased their Window Die to make it look like you're looking through a window to the scene.

I think this will be one of the cards we'll make at my May class as it's just too cool!

I used the beautiful wood paper from Simple Stories as it reminded me of paneling in houses years ago.

At this angle you can just barely see the beautiful sentiment around the scene.

I adhered the eagle scene behind the window inside the card making sure you couldn't see the words through the window.

I had to adhere the wood panel to my card front making sure there was adhesive in the spot where the window would be. Then I die cut the window panes. I die cut the shutter part and carefully adhered it over the window opening.

I used my cold press watercolor paper and fusion ink for the image then colored with my Tombow brushes. I think this turned out pretty good.  I should have made the eagle more grey but I like this.

I also remade my card from Monday.  The tiny flower layer just didn't pop enough.  I think the black layer made a BIG difference!

Don't you think this is better?  I was going to add a black strip under the lace but I had glued down the ends due to it raveling.
