Chill With The Bear

I recently received Spellbinders new Chill Bear die set and Gifts of Christmas Sentiments glimmer set to make a couple projects for them. These great products are a part of their new Be Merry Collection. When I first seen this bear I thought of the Coke commercials of a few years back that I thought were cute.

I had a lot of fun making this large tag. It's an A2 size. I used a piece of print paper left over from my class last week. I die cut the hills from some glitter paper in my stash using Spellbinders new Color Block Scenic Scape die set.

I foiled directly on my print paper using Red foil. I also die cut some snowflakes and added some gems from the Crystal Mix Essentials Gems pack (out of stock when I made this post). My Bearly Art Glue came in handy!

I added some light grey ink to the legs, belly, and neck of the bear to kinda look like shading. (Or dirt.) Oh, and I also used Spellbinders new Blue Spruce card stock for the trees.

Isn't this cool! Wouldn't it look great on a gift?

Bottle Brush Tree Forest

As I was contemplating another card using Spellbinders new Bottle Brush Tree die set I had an ah ha moment! I love 3D projects and this is definitely 3D!

I don't think this die set was thought of this way and I haven't seen any projects of it being used this way so maybe I'm a first???

As I was sitting at my work desk I realized that the tree bases were perfect for this! The back side of the trees are the same as the fronts. I painted the dowel bases (I've had these for ages!) with white paint. I glued a tooth brush between the layers of tree bases and cut off the excess ends before I glued the trees in the dowel bases. I love these!

This is one of the small trees. I kinda wish the little stars were a bit bigger. I may have a star die in another die set but I haven't looked yet. I used mirror gold paper for the stars and ornaments.

This is one of the large trees. I used a solid card stock for all the bases and an old Fun Stampers Journey Christmas 6x6 paper pack for the bottle brush part!

I will say that I used a minimum of products to make these!

Aren't these adorable! These are great for decorating in small villages. How would you use them?

Joy To The World

This is my 3rd of 4 projects using new products from Spellbinders new "Tis The Season" collection.  I'm using their new "Bottle Brush Trees" die set. This is soooo cool!

I started by embossing my base with their Plaid Company folder.  Then, using a fun Christmas print, I die cut my oval.

Then I die cut my tree bases and tops. I used a cool print for the top. I love how my trees turned out! My Bearly Art Glue was great for applying a thin line on the tree backs and adding the stars!

I have 1more project using this new collection! Come back tomorrow and check it out!

It's a Merry...

Yesterday you seen the pine boughs I made using 3 of Spellbinders new Tis the Season collection. I'm using 2 of the same products today but in an entirely different way.

When I seen Spellbinders new Christmas Blooms die set this is what immediately popped into my head. I have to admit that this did take some time as I spent a couple hours die cutting all those itty bitty pieces! Yet you really cannot get the full effect of this wreath just from a picture! There is so much texture and detail! I hope you can get some idea from these close ups.

I used my Stardust Clear Gel pen on the Merry (Create a Christmas die set) for more sparkle.  And my Bearly Art glue got extensive use!

How do you like the details in the flowers!  This is a 5 1/2" square card so I'll be making an envelope for it. I added Gold Mix Color Essentials Gems to the centers of the poinsettias. They really pop! And a few red sparkly gems gives this card a LOT of pop!

The print paper is from my stash and I searched though a lot of my papers to find one I thought went well with my wreath.  I actually made it before I started on the card base!

I have 2 more cards! But I used the new Bottle Brush Trees die set from the Tis the Season Collection. Stay tuned!

Happy Holidays

I have been asked again by Spellbinders to create some cards using some new upcoming products that will soon be released.  Of course I said yes! These are part of the new Tis The Season collection!

These great products go live TODAY! I will add links as soon as I can. But are you ready? I used the new Christmas Blooms die set and Create a Christmas die set. But you can click on the Spellbinders link if the sidebar then on the *NEW* page link then July 2021 Releases.

I used to live in northwest Wyoming (my heart is still there) and have done much horseback riding in the mountains between Cody and Yellowstone Park. The smell of pine is a favorite scent. So when I seen this die set my mind went to riding under the pines.

I also used their Forevergreen embossing folder. This is a re-release of a folder that Fun Stampers Journey sold years ago but now it will it have the Spellbinders name on it.  My Bearly Art Glue got a lot of use making this card as did my little Sidekick die cut and Platinum 6 machines!

I have 3 more cards to share so keep coming back!
