A Snowflake Christmas

I've been working on my cards for my November class and finished my 2nd one. I used a couple great dies, 1 from Paper Roses called Snowflake Border and another from Scrapbook.com called Merry Christmas.

Isn't the border gorgeous!! So much detail! I may add more little red dots but that will be determined if I have enough for the class. I generally need enough for 12 cards as that's my class limit.

I had some burgundy ribbon that pretty much matched my burgundy words and it really set off the snowflakes!

I think the most difficult part of this card was adhering the snowflake border and the words. My Bearly Art glue with it's itty bitty tip was awesome!  I do have some stray glue spots, oh well.

Life is a Circle

I needed a card for our stamp club's theme swap for Saturday and this turned out so easy for me. The theme is Circle of Life so this Spellbinders stamp set, Circle of Sunshine, was a no brainer!

I'm sorry there was no post yesterday. I was feeling poorly and went to Urgent Care on Tuesday morning. I have a nasty head cold and the doctor put me on Prednisone and Afrin to open my sinuses.  As of yesterday mid morning I started feeling so much better though I'm still a bit shaky. At that point I went to my desk and got busy!

Actually this was my 2nd card. The first looked awful but considering my fogged brain when I made it I was not surprised. This card I love!

Isn't the sentiment great!! Absolutely perfect for the swap theme! I think the circle dies fit in quite well, too. And since it's autumn I had to go that color scheme.

Anyway, I hope you all are staying healthy!

Ho Ho Ho Gnome For Christmas

I need to get started on my November class cards and got this one done over the weekend. I used mostly Whimsy Stamps stamps and dies and I think my gals will enjoy this!

The colors are more vibrant than the picture shows. A friend gave me the paper to use as I didn't have anything in stock with enough for the class.  If I have too many gals I'll have to substitute. The little red dots are vinyl stickers I used in classes when I taught at the local scrapbook store before it closed many years ago. Just trying to use it up!

Here you can see the colors better. I was planning on adding some Glaze 'N Glue to the lights but forgot before I took my pictures. This is the same as Crystal Lacquer or Diamond Glaze. I colored with my Color Burst colored pencils.

So now, on to the next card!

It's a FrankenBox!

I love making goody boxes for our grandson and great grandsons and this fun little milk carton using a steel rule milk box die by Spellbinders is great for the final box I needed.

Unless you stop by during my What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday posts you may not have seen these 2 cuties. I shared them back on October 6.

I didn't glue shut the top but just have the clip to hold it closed.

I used Spellbinders "Let's Be Frank" etched die set as I love this Franken monster. I've done him in purple, too. A couple monster eyes finished out the look. I added a couple sparkle gems for fun.

I like the size of this box and had to use my large Platinum die cut machine as this required an 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of card stock. The box  holds quite a bit of candy!

Now to get all my goody boxes packed for the 2 places they have to go! I'm so glad to be done with all my Halloween stuff! How are you coming along?

Gather Togther

I got some gorgeous Halloween Flowers as a freebie from Scrapbook.com by Prima Flowers and wanted to use them on a card. Well, my card is a Thanksgiving card but some of the flowers worked perfectly!

The package of flowers had a bunch of black ones but I'm not into black flowers. Makes me think of "over the hill" birthday parties and all the black decorations. I used Spellbinders "Happy Feast" stamp set for the sentiment. I also used the leaves from their "Colorblock Landscape" die set as these were the only leaves I had that were of the correct proportion for the flowers.

Aren't these circle dies beautiful!! I decided the opposite side of the circles needed something so I added 3 Rainbow Drops by Spellbinders.

This card can't be mailed as the flowers are very thick with beads in the centers so it would have to be included in a package, sent in a bubble envelope, or hand delivered.

Do you send Thanksgiving cards?
