A Special Time To Celebrate

I recently finished all 4 Christmas cards for my November 20th class and will now start sharing them with you! A couple of them are kinda cased from Project kits or Spellbinders 2020 Holiday catalog.

You may recognize the layout of this card from a card I shared back in early August but it is such a great look! I used Spellbinders Holiday Sentiment Stacks clear stamp set. I really like the ability to change the sentiments or ink colors! I have lots of the Turbo Teal card stock so I used that and embossed it with the Pretty Plaid embossing folder then swiped Whip Cream ink over the embossing. I love that look!

The silver glitter paper is from my stash. I made a triple bow from the Journey Thread Silver (I can whip one of those out in seconds!) and adhered a Pretty Flakes Accent (no longer available) over it then added a Sparkle Drop. A few Cut Rhinestones gave just a bit more bling. I recently got the new Tool 'n One and it's pretty and cool! It now matches the color of the Platinum machines.

This card will require extra postage but it would be best to carefully pack it with a gift as the snowflake accent can break. They are rather fragile.

For You

I'm still playing with all the cool samples of Glimmer Foil that I made to show at my group's Play Day. I wasn't real sure what I wanted to do with this one but it finally came together.

This card is only gold and white but it sure is elegant! I used Spellbinders no-longer-available plate called Elegant Background and Gold Foil. I was pleased when I foiled this plate and had no excess residue!

I die cut the Leaf Border and words out of Fun Stampers Journey's Gold Mirror card stock and added some Gold Fashion Dots to complete the card.

Have you used a Glimmer Hot Foil System?

Lookin' Sharp

Last week I made up a bunch of foiled samples to show at our Play Day. This is one of them and it uses a set called Lookin' Sharp.  It's no longer available but came with the Glimmer Hot Foil System as part of the package.

The background paper is from my stash. I think I got it from The Paper Collage in Peoria, AZ (a suburb of Phoenix). I used Viridian Green Foil. It's a simple card.

The little green dots are Cottage Pearls. Sadly they're no longer available. And the die cut label with the sentiment is the old Spellbinders Labels Twenty-Eight. Also no longer available.

I hand cut the cacti. You can see a bit of residue on the barrel cacti on the left.  I didn't know it was there until I seen this picture! I got it off with my sand eraser.

Just Bee-Cause

This is the last card I have to share from the Sweet Cardlets Project Kit by Spellbinders. It's very artsy! I used Opal Foil as a resist on the Color Splash sheet before I colored it.

This card uses the Just Bee-cause glimmer plate set

This is another card that should be hand delivered or packed with a gift in a box. That flower at the bottom makes this card at least an inch thick!

Instead of using regular Gold Foil I had a piece of Gold Starburst Foil that was just the right size. It gave the bee an fun look. I keep all the leftover pieces to use for smaller foiled images. You can see the cool honeycomb behind the bee that uses the Opal Foil. I added watered-down color from Jane Davenport's Mermaid Markers.  I really should have watered them down more but this is a fun look. These markers are very vibrant!

Here's another look at the honeycomb.  I could not get a good photo of the iridescence of the Opal Foil.

I made a double bow using my Bow Easy. I love this look!  I know of a couple gals who would love this card!

Today is my class day but this evening we will be going out to dinner with my dad and his wife to celebrate our 39th anniversary!
