Santa Kneels

As a believer and follower of Jesus I don't push the Santa narrative but understand why so many do.  I do have rubber stamps with a Santa but this is my favorite. It's a very old stamp of Santa kneeling at the manger of Baby Jesus that I purchased in the late 1990's. It started out as a wood mounted stamp but I unmounted it and mounted it on red cushion.

I'll start with a card I made back in 2011.

It's a simple card but has a great message.  The sentiment comes from a set I purchased from The Angel Company and still use to this day. The company closed in August of 2011.  It was the first MLM I joined (back in 2002). Still have friends from this great group of Angels.

I made this card in Dec. of 2017.  It was colored with pencils. I keep that sentiment with the stamp in a CD case.

And this is the card I made this week. I still colored with pencils and used a fun paper pack called Gnome for Christmas.

I very carefully applied DecoArt's Snow-Tex to the fur areas to look a bit more fuzzy and snowy.

Have you looked back at cards you made years ago? Has your style changed?

I want to share this bit from the Holy Bible, Luke 2: 8 - 14:
Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night.
And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around then, and they were greatly afraid.
Then the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all the people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find the Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger."
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth, peace, goodwill toward men!"

God bless you all and remember, Jesus is the Reason for the Season.
