Creative Ladies!

My class only had 4 gals yesterday but I think it went really good! Here's a pic of:
(standing) Sheryl Aamodt & Joyce Lambert, (sitting) Donna Troxel and first time ever to stamp, Karen Reimer (hope I spelled her name correctly).

It took us 2 hours to make the Flap Fold Card and a Squash book using coasters for the covers. I even gave a quickie lesson on using your paper cutter/trimmer. Hopefully my March 11 class (3 more techniques) will have more gals but yesterday it was great to have some 1 on 1 with each lady. They even got to play with my Scor-Pal and seemed impressed!

So, what have you done lately?? If you have made a card or some project using TAC™ images I would be honored to showcase it on my blog! Either scan and email it or mail it (and I'll mail it back) to me. This goes for my wonderful readers, customers, or my angels! Happy stamping!

I never promised you a rose garden

I was reading Michele Zindorf's blog the other day and decided to sorta follow her tutorial.
Stamps: Rose Garden, Sprigs, Just For You hostess set
Inks: Bordeaux, Chartreuse, Viridian Leaf, Noir, VersaMarker
Tools: Coluzzle Nested Circles, Swivel Knife, Coluzzle Mat, Heat tool, Hydra sponge, Aqua Flow Brush, decorative scissors
Paper: White Premium, Black, green from my stock
Misc: green ribbon, Clear EP

If you are interested in the Coluzzle system you need to order quickly. It is being discontinued. I really like this cutting system and have many templates! I'll be sad to see it go.

Today I'm teaching a class in Green Valley, AZ. We'll actually be making cards - the Flap Fold Card and a Squash Book. My numbers are down but I think it's because when I submitted my paperwork to the head office I didn't mention "stamping"! Good thing I have an email list to help drum up business! I hope to get some pictures of my class and their projects and post them here. Many of these wonderful ladies go back to their home states in March.

Also, if there is anything you'd like to see me post please contact me! I aim to please! Happy stamping!

Blissful Island of Trees

I just got in an order from our new Serendipity Magalogue and had to create a card using the new set Island Trees.

I tried to do a closeup so you can see how I "painted" this bold stamp with my markers but I still haven't gotten that part of my camera figured out yet so it's not focused good. I also used the Sparkle set for the text, various cardstocks, markers, various PH inks, Hydra sponges, brayer, Versamarker, clear e.p., heat tool, and braiding cord (scrappers floss would be great but I didn't have blue). I think the only change I would have made would be to stamp the text and a separate piece of cardstock and use the braiding cord to attach it. I don't really like how it looks right now.

So, have you had any stamping boo-boos lately? Something didn't look quite right? That makes a great opportunity to embellish, alter, or enhance!

Trust with all your heart

I got a few minutes to play today and decided to try a sketch challenge from Paper Craft Planet.

Stamps: Goodness of God, Inspirational Sayings
Ink: Burnt Umber PH
Paper: various scraps
Emb: Prima flower, button, white scrappers floss
It is a rather simple card but I like how it turned out. What do you think?

I still have that cough but am getting better. But, wouldn't you know it, I slept a bit cockeyed Thursday night and now have a kink in my neck. Bummer! And tomorrow I'll be getting all my supplies together for my Flap Fold Card/Squash Book class in Green Valley, AZ on Friday. I almost have enough $$ to purchase my airfare to Wichita, KS in June, just $50 short. Still need to come up with another $400 for registration/hotel. If I go to TAC's annual Seminar I need to purchase my airfare next month and get my hotel registration in (or find someone to room with).

So, how's your week going??

Blessings and new info about our Stamp Of The Month specials

I was playing with a technique from the Technique Junkies newsletter called Faux Felt. If you would like to subscribe to this fantastic newsletter just email me for more info. It's a real deal!

Stamps used: Rose Garden & Inspirational Sayings
Inks: Bordeaux PH
Paper: Bazzil Reds, white premium, Wine Red 2
Other: pink sheer ribbon
I don't know if you can see it clearly but the wine red piece is very textured and it does have a feeling of felt, very soft and kinda fuzzy. I did a bunch of stamping off (stamping on scrap paper before stamping without reinking) to do the rose behind the text.

TAC™ is now making our Stamp of the Month specials available for full retail prices after the monthly special has ended! If you have forgotten to order during the monthly special just place on online order through my catalog/shopping cart just click the Products tab then look for the Online Only tab in the left column. How easy is that!! But, if your order is over $30 you do qualify for our Gift with Purchase stamps and you can only get these if you order by emailing me directly with your order. And, if your order before shipping/taxes is $100 and over you qualify for a 1/2 price item (anything in our catalogues) and a free hostess set!

Gridded Butterflies

I had a break from coughing yesterday afternoon and got some stamping done!

I stamped Butterfly Bits on my white cardstock with Agean Blue VersaMagic ink then scored the grid with my Scor-Pal. I swiped my ink over the grid the make it pop then lightly swiped the edge of the white. I found some med. & dark blue cardstocks from my stash for the main card and the layering. I used Winterberry Designer Collection paper for the background and Inspirational Sayings for the text. Came out pretty cool, I think. I'm sending this to my friend, Melissa in OK, as she has to have surgery soon.

I'm headed into Tucson with my folks today. My dad bowls on a league every Tuesday and I want to make a side trip to Michaels to look for a couple of things. It's supposed to rain also. I hope tomorrow it's nice and warm as I have laundry to do and want to use my new clothesline that Dean got put up this past Saturday. So, I hope you have a great day and have some time to play!

Marveling!

I'm still coughing and just don't have any energy! So, I will post a card I made a couple days ago.

The stamps used are: Camping, More Abundance, and Hip Hardware (retired).
I used Jardin Moss & Burnt Umber PH inks and Versamark ink, Silver embossing powder, 1/8" brown ribbon, white and brown (from my huge pile) cardstocks. I'll probably send this card to my nephew for his birthday next week. I "stamplifted" this design from another angel on Paper Wings. I like how it turned out and I think my nephew will like it, too.

Did you have a good Valentine's Day? We attended a banquet at our church on Friday night then went to a steak house in Tucson called the Silver Saddle. Had a great time!

And Friday afternoon I had my technique class in Green Valley, AZ. The ladies had fun and we sure made a mess on our fingers! We definitely had inky pinkies! LOL! My next class is Feb. 27 and we'll be making a Flap Fold Card and a Box card. I think they'll have fun making these to cards as they are quite different from the standard cards most of us make.

Moonlight Fisherman

I got to play a few minutes yesterday and stamplifted this basic design from a fellow angel.

I used Fish Story and the hostess set, Just For You. Along with my brayer I used Starry Night, French Lilac, and Noir PH inks, my Extra Jumbo Circle punch, Fiskars Treading Water punch, and Platinum Stickles. Can you see the stars in the sky and the sparklies in the water?

Today I teach 3 techniques in Green Valley, AZ at a senior social center. I'll be teaching Moonlighting (shown above), cheesecloth, and stained vellum. As of Wednesday I had 7 sign up. Hopefully today I'll have a few more added. The money I make from these classes is being saved for my trip to Wichita for our TAC™ annual Seminar in June. I have $300 so far but that only covers 3/4 of the airfare. I still have 3 more classes to teach, 1 more this month and 2 next month.

Also remember that you can now order from our Serendipity magalogue! There are really great stamps in there along with tips, projects, and other usefull information! If you want one they are $2.95 plus shipping (if needed). I will give a gift certificate for $5 off a $50 order if you purchase both the Serendipity and the Fall/Winter Inspiration Book for $7.90 plus $4.80 shipping ($12.70).

I'm back!

I fell off the face of the earth last week. I had a horrible head/chest cold and spent all week trying to breathe, stop coughing, and sleeping. I'm still coughing and congested but somewhat functional.

This card is for a non-TAC™ images/TAC™ paper swap I'm in. The cows are from Pure Montana Stamps (no longer in business) created by Stan Lynde who created the Rick O'Shay comic strip in 1958. I met Mr. Lynde in Red Lodge, MT in 1988 or so when he and a partner teamed up with the idea to create the Montana Centennial Cattle Drive in 1989. I worked for an attorney and we did the incorporation papers of the two gentlemen. I don't know where the text stamp came from but the paper is: Winchester SWIC, Winchester cardstock, and the 8 x 8 Scalloped Cardstock Pad. I colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils and stamped with Noir P.H. ink.

I have another technique class this Friday in Green Valley, AZ from 1 - 3 pm at the Desert Hills Social Club Art room. If you live here and are interested please sign up at the office.

More Website Password Books

Cozette, the owner of Curves where I work out, asked for a larger password book and this is the result! I used full sheets from the Chipboard Mat Stack, Decorative Corners stamp set, Super Jumbo & Mega Scallop Oval punches, Mini Round Tab punch, 3/4" circle punch, Assorted Bitty Blossums, other florals, and coordinating inks. I used my Bind-It-All for binding the books. Cozette just loved the purple one. I sold it for $10. Guess I need to make more now! The text on the cover is from a retired set.

I was hoping to do some stamping but dang if I didn't come down with a bad cough and sore throat. I think I'll go lay down for a while as I'm feeling pretty weak and woozy! Hope you are having a much better day!
