Workdesk Wednesday... But It's Tuesday Evening!

As I was prepping this post to schedule tomorrow I seen that Julia of the Stamping Ground already posted early so I thought, why not! So, now I don't have to get up so early to link up! This is week 630. I totally spaced last week.

I'm working on my sample card for my Wednesday video. I'm making a Balcony Fold Card. The one on my desk is a Christmas card... oh my gosh! Did I say the "C" word? Yep, Christmas! The one I'll be making during my video will be something else. At the writing of this post I haven't decided yet but I have a couple hours tomorrow morning to prep. When I get this card completed I'll start looking through my stamps and stuff and figure it out. I'll even do a picture by picture tutorial on here Thursday. I'll start my Live video on my FB page, Stampin Carol -Lots of Crafty Goodness,  at 10 am Arizona time tomorrow then upload it to my YouTube channel about an hour later.

I hope you stop by Julia's and check out the links to other desks.

Two Fun Make N Takes

While at our monthly Salsa club m-eeting last Saturday we made a couple cards. One was kinda a fancy fold card and the other was a fun make n take. I finished them when I got home and could use some of my stash to complete them.

Since our club president and vice-president are both Stampin Up! demonstrators we used SU! papers and stamps. But I used one of my stamps on the card on the left

This card is made like a book. The left small panel is glued to the card back so it actually opens at the white area between the 2 colored panels. I cut the green tag in half and glued it to the white stamped tag with a gap so it is 1/4" longer than normal. I added some fun gold eyelet stickers that I used when I taught classes at the AZ Scrapbooking store in Green Valley, AZ many years ago.

I decided to use my Stardust Clear Gel pen on the beak and hat of this cute little Puffin.  And the sentiment is from a stamp set in my stash. They had one we could use but when you have 20 ladies trying to use it I decided to see what I had at home. The string at the top was in a bag of scraps of ribbons and stuff and it worked great.

I don't have any links today to share. My previous post does have the link to the gel pen and adhesives I use.

Hope you're week is starting out great!

Awww.... You've Got This!

My hubby loves ice cream (what man doesn't) so I purchased this adorable Ice Cream Day stamp set by Colorado Craft Company through Scrapbook.com a while back.  You've seen one card I made back in April. I decided it was time to play with it again.

I used some paper from my stash and coordinated some solid colors to go with it. I have a fun Peekaboo Window Die by Whimsy Stamps that I purchased at my last visit to The Paper Collage in Peoria, AZ. I've used it a lot! (And Pam's store is wonderful!!!)

I colored with pencils and added some Stardust Clear Gel pen to the ice cream.  I could not get the color right for chocolate, I needed more brown but it still looks kinda yummy.

This cone has an oreo cookie for an added treat. Doesn't the cat look happy!

My Sunshine

I finally got in the Spellbinders June club kits that I ordered and I'm starting to play! The small die of the month, Colorblock Landscape, is perfect for our location!

In case you're reading this after June this is the die set:

Small Die of the Month Membership

I also used the June Clear Stamp of the Month.

Clear Stamp of the Month Club

Are you ready for my card?  It will be my Summertime swap card for stamp club tomorrow.

That's a LOT of die cutting but it is SOOOO worth it! Can you tell I used a couple of the ground pieces to make clouds? And my Bearly Art Glue was perfect for these pieces! I adhered the sun rays longer than I needed then cut them to fit.

And don't you love the birds?

Right now through the end of the month you can see some great cards made by the design team and others on the website. Click on the Spellbinders logo in the sidebar then click on the "Clubs" page tab near the top.

I used all retired Fun Stampers Journey card stocks as I have oodles and oodles! I think I prefer the 80 lb. over the 100.

I listed below the products not listed above that I used that are available.

What a Romantic Birthday!

This is my 4th card using Spellbinders new Beautiful Sentiment Vignettes by Becca Feeken dies. This card uses Romantic Chargeour and Petite Floral Potpourri.

I was trying to do something different and think a bit out of the box.

I wanted to make an A2 card. My first attempt using this inside piece was a total flop as I didn't get it straight on the card. So, I die cut it again and cut it in half! Kinda looks like lace draped on the card.

I stamped the Happy Birthday from Spellbinders May Clear Stamp of the Month set, Borders & Sentiments. I then used my Stardust Clear Gel pen on the letters for a little pop.

I die cut a bunch of flowers then used my finger daubers to add some color to the flower centers. To finish I added little pearls to the flower centers and a few more around the flower bunches.

I bet I laid out the flowers, branches, and leaves quite a few times before I was satisfied.

I used Spellbinders new card stocks, Glacier, Peridot, Rainforest, and Snowdrift.

Most of the ideas I've seen with this gorgeous die set has lots of flowers and ribbon but I'm stuck on Spellbinders birds and birdhouses dies & stamps so I went that direction with this card.

I used their Sweet Birds on a Branch die set and the Tweet Sentiments clear stamp set.

I left the diamond shaped die in the center of the cut and used my blending brush to add a bit of color.  Pretty subtle but I love the look. I used a retiring Fun Stampers Journey ink that matches the background card stock. My Bearly Art Glue was great to adhere the die cuts.

I have one more card to share using this gorgeous Romantic Chargeour. How do you like this one?
