Most Wonderful!

This is the 4th and last card I made from our FSJ Live party.  I really like the large stamp even though it can stump me as to what to do with it.  And this set and the others I've shared from FSJ Live can be purchased starting Wednesday.

Look at all the elements in the bottom left!  Lots there!

I won't teach this elaborate card to my gals as I have some that in no way could cut all these out.

Stamps: Most Wonderful  SS-0592
Dies: Branch & Cone  DI-0470
Card Stocks: Cranberry Bliss, Black Licorice, Kiwi Slice, Whip Cream, and Cozy Winter Prints
Inks: Cranberry Bliss, Kiwi Slice, Black Licorice, and Clear Pigment
Coloring, etc.: Gold Silk and White Embossing Powder
Embellishments: Gold Thread, Sparkle Cuts, and Mini Jingle
Adhesives: Glaze, Easy Glide Runner, and Foam Squares Small
Tools: Details Pro Shears and Heat Gun

I liked this card so much that I do have one to teach at my August class. It just doesn't have as much embellishments.  I do have a picture of it on my FB Page, Stampin Carol @JourneycoachCarol under Events.

What's your favorite part of this card??

A Great Big Thanks!

Today is my class called the "4 Big Ts". All cards have a sentiment that has a T in them, either Thanks or Thinking of You.  I showed 1 card in my last post, today you get to see the "masculine" version of the Big Thanks.

I haven't played a lot with this new set, "Wild About You" bundle but it's growing on me!

I really like this lion. He has a certain elegance to his face.  And the embossing folder and print paper really add to the card.

Products used:
Stamps: Wild About You Bundle  BD-0406
Card stocks: Whip Cream, Butter Cream, Fresh Forest, and RSVP Prints
Inks: Black Licorice and Hazelnut Blend
Embossing Folder: Fiddle Leaf
Dies: Circle Around
Coloring: Color Burst Pencils
Other: Gold Friendship Sequins
Adhesives:White Liner Tape, Foam Squares, and Glue Dots
Tools: Details Pro Shears, Platinum machine, Paper Trimmer, and Sponge

How do you like my coloring on the Leo's mane?  I used a variety of pencils to get the variation of colors.

Wednesday Work Desk

Well, it's Wednesday again.  Seems this comes every week.... LOL! But the weeks sure seem short!  I have been busy getting ready for a class on Friday.  I just pulled out my big paper cutter and was getting started when I took this picture yesterday afternoon.  I've been staying indoors as much as possible because we have been reaching record highs, 111*F or 43.88* C.  Ugh.  We're supposed to cool down a bit later this week but still hot.  Anyway,  this view of my desk is part of a fun weekly blog tour of desks put together by Julia at the Stamping Ground.  And it's week 477!    And now for my desk....

Let's see... Left to right front....
Green embossing folder sitting on some dies, card samples in a clear box on top of directions, Tonic paper cuter, then my Platinum die cut machine with my red ATG adhesive runner under the plates.
In the back, my ScanNCut (which is sadly neglected), red box of acrylic blocks, cleaning rags, baskets of liquid fun, Ott light, and green basket of scraps.
Far back are shelves holding misc. stuff, washi tape dispensers, ribbon boxes, ink pads, and my FSJ team mascot.

I just finished my 4 Christmas card samples for my Aug. 24 class along with the directions for each card.  I was fairly productive yesterday and even got 1 card kit completed for the 3 coming to class.  Today I need to get the other 3 card kits done and even make a FaceBook Live video about 10:30 a.m. my time.  While writing this post I even realized that I haven't shared the cards for my Friday class.  Guess I need to get that done, too! So, here is one that the gals will be making.  All products used are from Fun Stampers Journey. The black layer was embossed then the center die cut before swiping with white ink.  Of the 4 cards for class this one is my least favorite, not sure why. There was a demo using this stamp set at convention and we were told that this is not a Zebra as we learned to pronounce it, but that it rhymes with Debra. Well, except for the first letter it's spelled the same.  Anyway, you probably had to hear it as it was demo'ed.

So now please head over to the Stamping Ground and check out the links to other crafters brave enough to share their desks and even projects!

All I Want For Christmas

Yep, another Christmas card!  This is the 3rd of 4 from our FSJ Live that took place July 14.  The stamps and the pine cones and pin boughs are in our soon to go live Holiday Mini (Aug. 1 is the date!)

I'm a Wyoming gal, transplanted to AZ late 2007, and I LOVE and miss dearly the mountains, pines, lakes, and yes, even some of the snow.  This card reminds me a bit of the mountains where I rode my horse and skied.

Products used:
Stamps: Merry Everything SS-0585
Dies: Circle Around, Bloom Cluster, and Branch & Cone DI-0470
Card stocks: Cranberry Bliss, Kiwi Slice, Fresh Forest, Oatmeal Cookie, Hazelnut Blend, and Whip Cream
Specialty Paper: Corrugated Stock Sheets
Ink: Black Licorice
Coloring & Silks: Lovely Blue Liquid Color and Whip Cream Silk
Embellishments: So Plaid Ribbon
Tools & Adhesives: Blending Brush Lg., Details Pro Shears, Easy Glide Runner, Foam Squares Med., Glaze, and Craft Glue

I made the new products BOLD that are in our upcoming Holiday Mini and gave you the SKU #s for later use as I can't link them yet to the shopping cart.

Are you working on your Christmas cards?  I really need to sit down and get busy but I also need to make 4 Christmas Banners and special ornaments for family.  I'm waiting on some new stamps from our Mini that should arrive the end of this week.

Merry Everything and Happy Always

Three times a year Fun Stampers Journey has a fun 4 hour YouTube party celebrating the soon-coming-out Mini catalog about 2 weeks before it goes live.  July 14 we (those who registered and got the registration bundle) enjoyed receiving stamps, dies, paper, card kits, and more enjoyed making 4 cards with a holiday theme. I shared the fall card Wednesday (previous post) and today I'm sharing another.  We made 3 Christmas cards and I just LOVE this one!

I don't have the link to the new stamps and dies but can give you the SKU #s.

Stamp Set: Merry Everything SS-0585
Dies: Border Basics, Journey Rectangles, and Frame It DI-0503 (Host Exclusive)
Card Stocks: Cool Pool, Whip Cream, Bubble Gum, Lemon Grass, Oatmeal Cookie, and Cozy Winter Prints
Inks: Clear Pigment, Black Licorice, and Whip Cream
Coloring: White Embossing Powder and Silver Silk
Embellishments: Celebration Buttons, Cut Rhinestones, and Satin Bubble Gum Ribbon
Tools: Details Pro Shears, Heat Gun, Sponge, and the Platinum machine

I really like this stamp set. It has 9 stamps, 3 sentiments, the deer, 3 stockings, a star, and a tree. You're gonna have to wait until I can share the link to the Mini to see this set. Unfortunately, there's no coordinating dies. I didn't have much trouble cutting out the deer as our Details Pro Shears are small (and self sharpening!!!) and can get into small spots.

What's your favorite thing about this card??

My Desk and a Foxy Card

I've been able to spend a bit of time at my desk this past week as I took in a Live YouTube Video party through the company I'm with and make 4 cards that were in the Registration box.  It was a HOOT! Four hours of demos and fun antics. So now I need to get a bit more serious as today you get to see what my desk looked like yesterday afternoon as I worked on a card sample for my August class.  And my desk view and many more are linked together by our head desker, Julia at the Stamping Ground.  Please head over to her place at the end of my place....

So what is going on here?  Far left front are the dies I used to add details to my card that is sitting front and center.  Between them are stamps. And far right front, packages of paper, some scraps, my Platinum machine, my ATG adhesive runner.  All across the back of my desk you'll find my Scan N Cut 2, acrylic blocks in a red container, 2 baskets full of liquid goodies, ink pads, and who knows what!

But this week we had to replace my ceiling light.  It has been burning out light bulbs at the rate of 1 a month (2 in the fixture so both were being replace frequently!) lately.  I've been using cool LED bulbs and the cost of replacing them this frequently is mounting.

The 1 bulb is putting out way more light than the 2 in the enclosed fixture that we replaced.  So much nicer.

This is one of the cards from our FSJ Live party that was in the registration box.  Cute stamps.

I stamped the fox and acorn using 2 different inks.  Different.  I will be playing with this stamp set more later. (All products by Fun Stampers Journey.)

Now my post has reached its end.  I hope you head over to the Stamping Ground and check out the links to lots more desks and oodles of great projects!

Blessed and Thankful

I'm so enjoying our new stamp sets from our just released Catalog (link to online version in the sidebar).  Here's a couple cards I made last week while at a papercrafters get together.

I actually used a long gone Bloom Box card kit that was given me so the print paper is no longer available BUT we do have 2 new paper packs that have wonderful Black/White papers!

Isn't the rooster just gorgeous!!!  I used our Color Burst Pencils to color him and added a bit of a light grey around him to help pop him a bit more.

Products used:
Stamp set: Humble & Kind
Papers: Whip Cream, Black Licorice, and (try RSVP or Colorful Journey Prints)
Ink: Black Licorice
Dies: Journey Circles
Coloring: Color Burst Pencils
Embellishments: Pink World Sequins
Tools & Adhesives: Platinum machine, Easy Glide Runner, Foam Squares, Details Pro Shears, and Glue Dots

I did change the print paper in this card as I really liked the colors better.

I think the Bubble Gum paper really sets off the Oatmeal Cookie circle yet it's still kinda homey in design.

Products used:
Stamp Set: Life is Beautiful Bundle
Papers: Whip Cream, Bubble Gum, Oatmeal Cookie, and RSVP Prints
Ink: Black Licorice
Coloring: Color Burst Pencils
Embellishments: Natural Thread, Pearls, and Paper Clip Elements
Tools & Adhesives:  Platinum machine, Easy Glide Runner, Foam Squares, and Details Pro Shears

Which card is your favorite?

A Washi Cross

This past Wednesday I made this card while doing a FB Live Video on my Stampin Carol page. I love this new stamp bundle and the way I made the cross was demo'ed at our Convention last month.

I love how this turned out and may use this as a card for an upcoming class later this year.

Products used:
Stamps: Strength & Hope Bundle
Paper: Whip Cream, Denim Days, and Pool Play
Ink: Black Licorice
Washi Tape: Denim Prints
Embossing Folder: Tiny Dots (a Bloom Benefit FREE with a $75 order)
Embellishments: Patootie Burst
Dies: Journey Circles and Circle Around Dies
Tools & Adhesives: the Platinum, Easy Glide Runner, Foam Squares, and Glue Dots

I also have my video on YouTube if you'd like to see it.  HERE'S the link...

What's On Your Workdesk #475

Another Wednesday.  It's a great day to join up with Julia at the Stamping Ground for the weekly blog tour of desks as we're FINALLY getting our Monsoon rains!  What a relief! Temperatures have dropped by at least 10*. Can hear the cicadas and California toads along with the happy quail and other birds. Actually, it gets quite loud! But again, I digress.  I bet you want to see my desk...

I've been having fun playing with new products from our recently released Inspiration Book/Catalog but you can't tell it here.  The main item on my desk is a book full of goodies for a special presentation coming up July 14 called FSJ Live.  It's basically an online YouTube party.  I'll be glued to my computer and TV watching and making cards from kits that are in the box.  If you are interested you can check out my Monday post HERE of what I worked on this past weekend.

Anyway, my desk will get cleaned up real soon as I'm thinking of making a FB Live Video on my Stampin Carol page about 10:30 am Arizona time.  I'm finding I get a lot of traffic with videos.

But now you've reached the end of my post.  I hope you head over to the Stamping Ground and check out others who take part in this fun tour. I'll be hanging around checking out a bunch as I work on projects.

It's a Piece of Cake

Well, yeah!  We have a new die in our catalog called Triangle Treat Die Set.  Oh my gosh I LIKE this!  I will be sharing this with my team at a meeting July 17.  I even made a FB Live video on how to make it.

It will take 8 boxes to make a round paper cake.  But oh, aren't these cute!!!

Products Used:
Card stocks: Whip Cream, Candy Apple, and Lemon Drop
Stamp Sets: Remarkable You and Text Happy
Ink: Black Licorice
Other Dies: Star Burst Bloom and Blooming Details
Embellishments: Fresh Cuts, Magical Candy Drops, and Special Celebrations Sequins
Adhesives: Journey Craft Glue, Foam Squares, and Glue Dots
Tools: the Platinum, Crease Tool, and Details Pro Shears

I had a lot of fun with this as you can see.  I need to get some goodies to put in them.  And to open the boxes you just gently lift on the banners!

Did you notice the little flower between the 2 boxes in the first picture?  I made that, too!

I used just a few things to make this:
Card Stocks: Fresh Sage and RSVP Prints
Ink: Whip Cream
Dies: Cupcake Liner and Summer Bouquet
Embellishment: Rainbow Drops
Adhesive: Journey Craft Glue and Glue Dots
Tools: the Platinum, a sponge

I did make the cupcake liner smaller than usual as it was a bit to big to hold my flower. It's pretty easy to match up the scallops.

If you want to watch my YouTube Video you can see it HERE. Remember, it started out as a FB Live and I have NO idea how to edit it yet.

What would you put in the boxes?  Well, chocolate for the white one but what about the red?

A Flowery Thank You

Last Friday I made a FaceBook Live Video showing how I made this card. (Click on the link to go to my page then click on Videos then my June 29 video.)  I have fun making the videos but it does take a bit of prep and I do get a bit comedic.

I made the card on the left on the video and the one on the right at Convention.  I didn't follow directions at Convention.  I think I was just a bit tired by the time we got to the Make N Take session and did leave a bit early. I wanted to use all of our great new colors of card stocks from the Good Life Bundle and definitely got a whole different look.

The card on the right I adhered the Whip Cream panel to the back of the Oatmeal Cookie front instead of the the back inside.  And I used the Dauber Dowel to color swirls on a piece of Whip Cream to stamp the flowers.  The colors are very vibrant.

Card on the Left Products Used:
Stamps: Cottage Bouquet Bundle and Many Thanks AT
Card stocks: Whip Cream, Oatmeal Cookie, and the Good Life Bundle
Ink: Black Licorice
Silk: Black Licorice
Sequins: Special Celebrations
Tools: Details Pro Shears, Platinum machine, White Liner Tape, Foam Squares

Card on the Right Products Used:
Stamps: same
Card stocks: only Oatmeal Cookie and Whip Cream
Inks: Black Licorice, Rich Coral, Watermelon Fusion, Citrus Cooler, Beach Breeze, and Lemon Grass
Coloring & Mediums: Lemon Drop and Cool Pool Liquid Colors
Silk: Black Licorice
Sequins: Special Celebrations
Tools: same AND Dauber Dowel Large and pads

Here you can see how the cover is not attached to the Whip Cream inside and the sentiment is hidden behind it inside.

And the card with the Whip Cream panel adhered to the back of the card front.  I think either way looks good but the top one has a better look to me.

What do you think??

And I want to share a great YouTube video with you of a recap of our Fun Stampers Journey 4th Annual Convention last month if Phoenix, Arizona.

I hope this works as I embedded it directly from YouTube. If not you can search YouTube for it by looking for Fun Stampers Journey Better Together Annual Convention 2018.  If you watch close you will get a couple glimpses of a little green Secret Agent Man, the team mascot for our Fabulous Bloomin' Inkers team! If you are interested in joining FSJ just click on the shopping cart in the side bar then Join My Team!  We have 2 great Starter Kits that allow you to choose the stamps you want and other products!  Great deal!

Wednesday Work Desk and More

For those in the USA, HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY! I hope you have a great celebration!

Today is also the day I take part in a weekly blog tour of desks sponsored by our head desker, Julia at the Stamping Ground.  This is week 474, yes, I typed that correctly.  And my desk this week is SO tidy compared to last week!

Let's see, far left you can see a package of Baby Wipes sitting on my Scan N Cut and in front of that is a pile of papers and a huge teal flower that was hanging on the back of my chair.  I got it at our FSJ Convention June 20 - 23.  I just have to use better tape on the paper clip on its back. Center, tools, work pad to keep my desk relatively clean and a card I made at Convention but haven't posted yet and another I made for a challenge.  On the right, our new catalog that I'm getting ready to put in my car for someone, my OTT light, my Platinum die cut machine with a paper towel on the platform and some scraps of paper.  It will get busy later.

I sent an Independence Day banner to a daughter-in-law for her birthday.  She sent me a photo and gave me permission to share.  I did share it a while back but hanging on her fireplace is SO much better than laying on our floor.

She is an amazing home designer and her house is like a showcase! She used to hire out to do home decorating but once our grandson came along she became a stay at home mom (and a great one at that but of course I'm biased).

That's all I have for you today.  Please head over to the Stamping Ground for links to other desks and probably a few great projects!

A Thankful Bouquet

Have you checked out our new online catalog?  It's in the sidebar!  334 pages!!! That baby's BIG!!
I now have the links to the new products.

Here's a card that I was supposed to make at our Convention's Make N Take session but brought home to make instead.

You can definitely see my boo-boo.  I got the layer with flowers adhered crooked. I tried to fix it but the layers of paper under it started tearing so it stays as it is.

Stamps: Cottage Bouquet Bundle
Dies: Pocket Cuts (on my wish list!)
Card stocks & Printed paper: Whip Cream, Lemon Grass, and Good Life Prints
Inks: Black Licorice, Denim Days, Catalina Splash, and Lemon Grass
Coloring & Mediums: Cool Pool, Catalina Splash, and Lemon Drop Liquid Colors
Embellies: Stain Ribbon Lemon Grass and Pearls
Adhesives: Easy Glide Runner, Foam Squares, and Journey Glaze
Tools: Details Pro Shears, Blending Brush Medium, the Platinum, and a Dauber Dowel Large

I was playing around with my Blending Brush and Liquid Colors on these flowers. Love the effect I got, what do you think?  Also I had to use my itty bitty iron to take out the creases in the ribbon as it comes in the kit folded.  As long as you don't hold the iron on long, just short quick swipes, you can take out the folds and creases.

Also, I have a new FB page for my projects and more.  Just head over to Stampin Carol and follow! My page has a used name of JourneycoachCarol.  I hated changing but FB wanted some changes, I made them 3 weeks ago and they said they were shutting down my page. So, change I did! I hope all my followers from my old page come to my new.
