And Now... Back To My Desk

I have to admit my desk was MIA last week due to a variety of things but I'm back! And this post is linked to Julia's blog, The Stamping Ground. This is week 617.

I took this picture near noon yesterday just as I finished prepping for this morning's video. (I didn't make one last week, I was working on getting ready for my class.) Today I'll be playing with a spiral die from Spellbinders/Fun Stampers Journey.  I was surprised to see that I had not used this die and I've had it for a long time!

Anyway, far left is a pack of vellum next to a pile of stuff that needs to b put away.  On the glass mat is my card that I'll be finishing and a bunch of fussy cut kites from the same paper as the card front. And right is a couple packs of paper and the die I'm using. And you can see the new black Magic Mat from Scrapbook.com that I'm giving a work out. Since I'm an affiliate I wanted to see what all the hype about it was. So far, so good.

Anyway, please head over to Julia's and check out the links to the other bloggers! And can you believe this is the last day of March!! Oh my!

You Are Remarkable

We made a cute card at our local stamp club meeting Saturday and I wanted to change it up a bit using some of my stuff. I can't say if I like this or not.  What do you think?

I have a pack of Fun Stampers Journey paper called Good Life Prints and really didn't know what to do with this gorgeous print. Then I though it might work for this style card.  The hexagon is from a coordinating solid color but it was so bright that I layered a piece of vellum over it to mute it a bit.  I also used some of the flowers I die cut WAY back when using similar coordinating colors and the new Simply Perfect Layered Blooms die set from Spellbinders.  The lace is from my stash.

I used an older FSJ die called Baby Bow Die Set for the bow and added a clear gem here and 2 by the sentiment.

What are your thoughts on this card?

Strong Coffee

While at the February retreat my friend Becky loaned me an old Sizzix die to make these cool step style cards. The die set consisted of 2 dies, the base card and the side layer. I can't remember the name of it but I cut a bunch to play with.

I used a pack of paper I purchased at the retreat by Echo Park called Coffee.

I added some small stickers from the pack to the "steps".

Here's another view of the "steps".  Pretty cool!

This little coffee cup used a small retired die set by Fun Stampers Journey called Coffee First.  I have used this die a lot! The cup is cut from a sheet of card stock called Coffee Talk - Black and I got it from The Paper Collage.

I have 4 more of these bases cut and will be playing more with them.

Pop Up the Bunnies!

I occasionally purchase cool products from non-affiliate companies and I finally got the opportunity to make the I-Crafter Pop Up Oval Box and Easter Add-On. Oh my gosh this is cute!!

This is actually my 2nd attempt as I'm not happy with my first try (which got tossed). I have to say I LOVE this!

The picture on the Easter Add-On package is just adorable but I didn't get near as fancy.

I had to watch I-Crafter's videos on making the box and using the add-on which was a tremendous help. But I did alter my box a bit by adding a 2nd basket of eggs. I also used my Clear Wink of Stella brush on the words but it won't show in my photos.

Here's a closer look at the bunnies & baskets. I had lots of die cuts to assemble but it was worth it! I used a Q-tip tapped on a pink ink pad to add some color to the bunny cheeks. I'm glad I had my very fine tip on my Bearly Art Glue!

What is cool is that this can fold flat to mail! It fits an A2 envelope!

And here's my proof! Well, you'll have to take my word for it that this is an A2 envelope.

I used all Fun Stampers Journey/Spellbinders card stocks and have links to what is available below.  The egg print is from an old 6" x 6" pad of Easter prints that I have oodles of! And I used only scraps except for the box itself. This little box is now part of my Easter decorations on my shelf!

Have you tried any I-Crafter products?

Easter Treat Boxes

I love making little goodie boxes for the youngsters in our family and these were filled or readied and mailed this week.

I used the new March Large Die of the Month from Spellbinders called Spring Together with Lever Pull. But I didn't use the lever pull for this box.

This cool set is available this month only by subscription.  If any are left over from the subscriptions they will be available after April 10. You can find it by clicking on the link shown on my Specials & More page.

Isn't this just adorable! I made it so the cover can slide off the box of Animal Crackers. What was great was that I used all scraps to make this!

I used a great print from a pack of retired Fun Stampers Journey prints called Spring Filled Prints. I have very little of this left. I also used my Bearly Art glue (I LOVE this glue!) with its most tiny tip to adhere the itty bitty pieces and hello.  And the little flowers are left over pieces from making flowers with the Simply Perfect Layered Blooms die set. And my QuickStik tool was a GREAT help! I added some little white lines on the critters for fun.

I also made a couple more chickie boxes so now I have 3 for those youngsters...

I have some little treats for 2 and a little toy for the third.  This cutie is from Sizzix Animal Box #2 that I purchased at Hobby Lobby. I show the rabbit HERE.

Today is my class so I'll be making a video on FaceBook then sharing it on YouTube after I get home. I have customers from here to Maryland that can't attend in person so I help them with their kits online. I do limit all attendees and kits to 12 as it does take hours to make up the kits.
