Through the Window

I started this window scene while at the retreat last month but finished it about a week ago. I just had to purchase this stamp after the beautiful make n take by Art Impressions.

I live in a desert area south of Tucson, AZ but we're at too high an elevation for the saguaro cactus but we have LOTS of prickly pear cacti!

I didn't have any cactus print paper that I thought would work with this gorgeous scene but found this western print with the saguaro cacti on it that I got from The Paper Collage. It is part of the Arizona Cowboy Paper Collection and you can purchase it online. I stamped the image on some light brown paper and cut it into a frame.

I colored the image with my Fun Stampers Journey Color Burst pencils and added some Clear Wink of Stella to the sun and along the lines of the saguaro. I could not get a picture of the shimmer but it is there!

I love how this turned out. I got inspiration for it on Pinterest.
