A Double Point Fancy Fold Card

Last week at our monthly Tucson stampers group we learned a new fold for our cards.  Well... I just had to make another!  I ended up using a very old but very loved Fun Stampers Journey stamp set,  Arizona Trail, and it's matching die set. I could have used an available stamp set but my paper dictated that I needed to use this stamp set.  I also made this card on video which you can find on my YouTube channel dated yesterday.

This card does stay closed as I used a small clear velcro dot. I show how I attached it on my video. The green paper for the cactus is from my stash.

This is the card open. You can see the double points. I did have to be careful where I stamped.  I decided to make the open area in the middle to be where one signs the card. Also, the Happy Birthday stamp is from FSJ's Birthday Candles stamp set.

I like these little velcro dots as they do not hide the paper or distract from the print. They are 3/8" diameter.

I used the thinnest card stock I had as text weight paper works the best for the flaps (points).

This is the template for the double points. I give a few tips on my video. I adhered the 1" flap part to the back of the inside light brown card stock and ran a line of adhesive along the inside (about where the template says 2") so that when I folded the 2 flaps they'd stay in place.

I hope you give this fun card style a try.  And check out my video for more details on making it!
