It's Workdesk Wednesday 691

Yep, it's week 691 for this weekly tour of desks. Sadly the number of crafters has dropped tremendously but I find it fun and enjoy visiting the desks and sometimes even seeing some great projects! This tour's leader is Julia of the Stamping Ground

My desk has just been tidied a bit and a potential class card finished (will post it soon) and the supplies and directions, along with the card,  has been placed in my folder to keep things together. Once I get all the cards I want to use together I will advertise the class. It will probably be online only as I'm hoping to have surgery sometime after the 12th when I see my surgeon.

Anyway,  I'm plugging along and been busy teaching hubby how to pay bills, how to make up a bill, and whatever he may need to know about our finances. He's doing pretty good. I had to purchase a new key board for our desk top as my original was missing many letters on the keys due to my fingernails!

I hope you pop over to Julia's! I will be visiting tomorrow since I have my cardiologist appt. today.

Dance, Mummy, Dance!

Yesterday I showed you a dancing ghost but today I have a "Dancin' Mummy" from Spellbinders! He is part of their new Boo Dance Party collection!

Would you dance with him? His legs sway back and forth! The sentiment is from Spellbinders "Boo Dance Party Sentiments" and I stamped in on black with a white pigment ink. I used a circle die that fit the arc of the sentiment on the top then used scissors to cut the bottom arc and the layer behind it.

I used a small blending brush from my set and swiped some Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide ink on the wraps. You don't expect him to be clean out of the tomb, do you? 😁

I added a few stars from a pack of embellishments I had in my stash as they match the stars in the background.

A Dancing Ghost!

I'm starting on my Halloween cards for my family and I recently purchased a lot of products from Spellbinders new Boo Dance Party collection. This card uses their "Dancin' Ghost" die set. What a hoot!

This little guy's legs swing back and forth! I'll try to get a little short video on my YouTube channel to show you! I used an old scallop oval die to back the ghost.

I backed the Jack O'Lantern treat box with black card stock then used a black glitter gel pen. It really shines but it wouldn't show up good here.

So sad that all that candy fell out of the pumpkin.  I used some old Halloween print card stock for the background and used that same black glitter gel pen on the die cut words.

Are you thinking of Halloween yet? I only make cute cards and we don't celebrate the night but usually go to church. What do you do?

Haunted

I ordered some great new Halloween dies & stamps from Spellbinders and finally got to play with a couple. They're part of the Boo Dance Party collection. To find the collection click on the Spellbinders logo and search Boo Dance Party.

Isn't this a scream!! Would you want to spend a night in this house? All the die cuts come from Spellbinders new "Haunted House" die set. The sentiment comes from their "Boo Dance Party Sentiments" stamp set. I used my Momento Tuxedo Black ink but it appears Scrapbook.com no longer carries this so if you click on a previous link from any of my posts you will get an invalid link notice. This is one of my favorite black dye inks, I'm bummed.

I had so much fun making this card. I started by stenciling the "stars" on the deep purple sky. I love how this turned out! I applied a thin line of Bearly Art Glue to the door edge and a tiny piece of foam to it to make it look open. I attached the tombstones at the bottom of the card the same way.

I used a Gelly Roll white pen to write on the tombstones.

I used a small blender brush and a couple Distress Oxide inks to add some color around the moon and the cloud bottoms.

I have a couple granddaughters who'd get a kick out of this card. I may have to make another!

Oh Christmas Tree

I needed to make a card using some sequin waste for our local stamp group. We received the waste as a mystery item. I didn't get creative with the waste but just used it as a background.

I wanted to use a newly purchased die by Sizzix called "Layered Christmas Tree" and I used some fun winter themed sequins I had.

I used a white glitter paper for the snow. The photo just doesn't show it. I was thinking of adding a sentiment but I didn't get that far. What sentiment would you have added?

If you get an invalid affiliate link it's because that item may no longer be available.  This is happening with links on older posts.
