Noel Reindeer

I just got an order in from Memory Works and in it was a package of gorgeous paper by Bo Bunny called Silver and Gold.  And I purchased the coordinating Noteworthy package of  goodies which includes a cool reindeer, skating figures, ornaments, labels, and more.

I also got some cool hexagone punches by Fiskars that were on sale at Joan's Crafts.

The Noel stamp is from an old The Angel Company set called Tag Tidbits.  I've used the daylights out of that set and have had it for many years.

I decided to add a touch of bling with a rhinestone for the eye.  I did sponge some brown around the reindeer so it would stand out more.  How are you coming with your Christmas cards??

Another Pumpkin

I've been pretty bummed this week that my Gatefold Easel class was canceled for lack of interest. I do have to make 1 kit but I think I'm barely breaking even in costs this year.  So, off to Pinterest.  I seen a cute little pumpkin basket on a blog called SoulComfort's Corner from last year that I decided to give a try...

I die cut 6 ovals to make the 2 pumpkins.  The stem is made freehand.

I used a piece of 5" x 6" card stock to make the basket.

And I sponged some brown ink around the ovals to make the "ridges" more prominent.   I'm not a fan of Halloween but pumpkins can represent autumn or Thanksgiving to my way of thinking.  Are you making crafty things for the season??

Workdesk and a Rosette Pumpkin

Another workdesk Wednesday.  I hope you aren't getting tired of these.  I sure enjoy looking at desks from all around the world and getting some great inspiration.  And I appreciate Julia at the Stamping Ground for the work she goes through bringing all us together.  So please click on her blog link (at the end of this post) and grab your favorite beverage and take a look.

Ok, so what's here....  Halloween stickers and paper on the far left. Candy Corn duct tape.  Scrap paper.  Big Shot with paper and oval die. Scissors, sanding block, foam tape, ATC adhesive tool.  Above, lightbulb glove with flower, water spray bottle to clean stamps, stamp rag, ink...  Busy.

Now that you've seen my (ugh) desk here's a project I worked on this past weekend when hubby was busy.  I found it on Pinterest....

This little 3" high rosette pumpkin took me hours!  At least it seemed like it.  I think the longest part was holding the rosettes to the 1 1/2" circles for the glue to take hold and stick!

I got the idea from  Two Paper Divas but I changed it up a bit for the stuff I had on hand.  I used some copper wire to make the vines and just scissor-cut some green card stock for the leaves.  I did add some veins by scoring the leaves but they don't show up in my picture.

So please leave a comment on my desk or pumpkin then click HERE to go to the Stamping Ground and enjoy!

Singing Pumpkins

I'm trying to use up my pile of Halloween themed paper and seems I keep finding some in my baskets and such.  Well, I got to playing this weekend and came up with this....

The pumpkins are from an old TAC set called Halloween.  I colored with my Copics and I think I have a marker missing.  It's in my book but I couldn't find it in the markers. (I think I need better organization for my markers....)

Here's a little closer look at the pumpkins.  Aren't they a hoot??  I used to have more pumpkins by a couple other companies but I guess I got rid of them a long time ago.

Elixir....

I got to playing a bit yesterday with some paper I purchased from Memory Works.... Echo Park's An Apothecary Emporium.  I could not get my pictures to download to my Google Picasa Web Album.  This is the 2nd time it didn't want to work.

At least I could download to my blog.  There is no stamping on this card but there is some solid black twine from The Twinery.  And the black rhinestones are mine.

Maybe I should have pop dotted the pennants... What do you think?

Wednesday Already???

Really??  Wednesday?  Wasn't it Wednesday just a couple days ago?  Boy, has time been flying!  I did manage to get a picture of my work desk as I am making card kits to sell.

Hmmm.. yep.  My Big Shot is getting a work out.  You can see 2 kits almost complete just to the left of it and more left, my magnetic holder with my Spellbider die set that I'm using.  The white "globe" top center is a light bulb vase filled with styrafoam beads and a die cut flower.  I posted it quite some time ago.

Here's part of the kit I'm working on. It doesn't show the 4 mini rhinestones that will be adhered to the corners of the white stamped piece. There will be assorted colors but the same die cut layers.  Stamped image by Lawn Fawn.

Here is my basket with 46 cards completed and packaged for sale.  To the left are larger cards.  I'll be selling them for $3 each or 2 for $5.  There will be some that I'll have marked down as I've had them FOREVER and they're just to simple or something.   Well, I'm off to visit a few blogs all compliments of Julia Dunnit of the Stamping Ground.  She has done an amazing job organizing this international blog hop. So please, grab your favorite beverage and click on her blog name and enjoy visiting!  You can get inspired at the great projects and organizational ideas, too!

Finishing Cards to Sell

I should have been making some cards but I ran out of room.  Really!  My basket that holds my cards was overflowing.  I decided I better do something and fast. So, I finished out about 25 cards.  Some got text inside, all got envelopes but some were decorated, and all were put in clear bags and readied to sell.

This isn't all of them.  I still have about 10 on my desk to complete and package.  I will be selling these at AZ Scrapbook's annual retreat the first weekend of October at Rio Rico, AZ.  They will be $3 each or 2 for $5. I still need to make some single card kits and hopefully I'll get started on those either today or tomorrow.  I was planning on getting some more cards done yesterday but I had such a severe allergy attack (grass is going to seed, plants are loaded with pollen) that I even missed church!  By the time my pills started working my nose was running like crazy, eyes itching, and sneezing had taken over.  So home we went.  I laid down for about 3 to 4 hours but still felt woozy. Oh well.  I got some rest!

Inching a Bit More Into Fall

I finished the other 2 cards I need for my October class.  Oh my!!!!  I'm way ready for our meeting scheduled for Monday!!!  I bet that'll shock the store owner and other teachers!  I'm usually a bit behind but then, I'm only doing 1 class a month since my mom has been having health issues and I don't want to get my schedule too busy.

I adhered my inchies to a scrap of white then ran it through my Big Shot using Spellbinders Label One die.  It was a tight fit and the die barely cut the double layer of paper but I like the look. The turkey if from a Unity stamp set with the text from my other Inching post.

I colored the turkey with Copic markers but just did simple coloring, no shading or anything.

I seen something like this when I did a google search on inchie cards.  Wow, I came across a lot of images!!  Great ideas!  Now all I have to do is get my supply list and directions wrote up and I can work on some other things.

Hump Day Workdesk and Angels

Yep.  Hump Day.  No, no camel running around asking what day it is.  What a goofy commercial!  I have to laugh every time I see it.  But today is the day you get to either join in or enjoy viewing desks from all around the world!  This fun tour is put together by Julia at the Stamping Ground.  I get around to about 20 to 30 desks due to some time constraints but if you look around grab a cuppa your favorite beverage and enjoy the tour.

Hmmm.... my desk.  Well, there's some new stamps on the left from A|Muse Studio, some Dew Drop ink pads in the middle, inchie pieces above inks, and scissors, bone folder, big ink pad and other misc. stuff to the right.  And, if you remember my desk last week with that unfinished card, that card posted this past Friday.  But, I will show you the card I made using those stamps on my desk right now...

I love this set I purchased through Chelsea, my A|Muse demonstrator!  It has 4 angels and 3 texts.  I was planning on adding some blue rhinestones but I had a spot of ink on the angel under the twine.  Had to hide it hence the twine (from The Twinery).

I added some Stardust Clear Gel pen on the wings.  I had a piece of cardstock with the die cut label negative so it made a perfect mask to sponge the blue ink.  I still have a bunch of these die cut negatives available so will play some more. I might get close to having a mess of Christmas cards made using scraps and such.

I also wanted to give a shout out for a friend who opened an Etsy store.  It's called 9dogsandakat.  She makes beautiful jewelry.  Give her a look!

So now, click HERE to go to Julia's blog to see all the links to other desks.  And, if you so desire, leave me a comment about my desk or project.  Thanks!!

Inching Into Fall

Now that I have the 3 cards done for my Sept. 26 class I'm starting on my October class cards.  I'm calling it Inching Into Fall and am using inchies on my cards.  I have 3 done and have 1 to go.  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I seen this style over on Operation Write Home but didn't have time to make my card during their challenge.  Papers are by Authentique and Bazzill, stamp by Unity, Bella Blvd.  I should have done all this on the SMOOTH side then the stamping would be a lot better.  Hopefully I'll remember to tell my students that AND put it on the direction sheet.

Same papers and stamp but this time I cute the inchies in half diagonally.  I did use the smooth side of the Bazzill on this card.  Stamping is much clearer.

So if you have any ideas for using inchies please let me know in a comment.  My 3rd card uses inchies and a Spellbinder die....

Vines and Pumpkins

I FINALLY finished that 3rd Gatefold Easel card for my September class.  I had to drag my mojo home as it kicked and scratched not to come.  Well, that's the way it seemed.  I was quite the minimalist on colors but I think it is rather dramatic.

I used a slider on this card to hold it closed. The label is from Spellbinders Labels One, a classic design.

I used the large and small Fancy Flourish dies from Cheery Lynn Designs and the pumpkins are from the stamp set by Inkadinkado called Fall Theme.

And the easel.... Text is from a Lawn Fawn set called Happy Everything.

A touch of bling on the slider pumpkin!  My hubby told me he looks for the bling on my cards. It's funny when I don't add some.

Fall Leaves.... And My Workdesk

I've been having issues with my Google Picassa where I keep my pictures so it's been a challenge to upload my desk picture.

I ended up having to upload directly from my computer files which is really weird.  Anyway, my desk. I've been working on my 3rd card (for a class) for the last few days.  Isn't that outrageous?  I finally got it started after trying about 5 different ideas but then, I have yet to do the cover and the inside easel design.  There are 2 Cheery Lynn dies, glue pen, scissors, ink pad, bone folder and some die cuts off the the right.  My Big Shot plates on the left along with paper.  I HAVE to get this done this week!  Why am I having such a brain burp? Well, now that I've kinda ranted and raved go to Julia's blog, the Stamping Ground, (but please finish my post first) and enjoy viewing a wonderful group of people showing their desks and great inspiration! I'll be heading back over there this afternoon to look around.

I did get my second of the three cards photographed a couple days ago for my Gatefold Easel card class scheduled for the end of this month.

Again I needed a paper clip to hold the card closed.  (I'll use a slider on that 3rd card.)  The cool leaf is from a set by Inkadinkado called Fall Season.  And isn't the paper gorgeous??  I can't tell you who it's by as I cut off the label and tossed it.  Bad me.

Since I'm only got to have 3 cards for the class I thought I'd better get a bunch of fine cutting for my "students" to do to kill some time.  These cards use a lot of paper but since I'll be cutting most of it I need to stretch out the class.

How's this for the easel part?

And a touch of bling....

Wished I'd get some more mojo on the 3rd and final card, but at least it's started!  Don't forget to go to the Stamping Ground!!!!

Too Cute To Spook

Originally I was going to try to take part in the Operation Write Home challenges but my weekend got away from me but I did get this card done.  The paper is a pack I got from Memory Works called Trick or Treat by Pebbles.  The spider is a stamped image by a The Angel Co. set.

There is something special on this card, kinda hidden.  Remember the old Where's Waldo?  Well, there is an eye other than the owl's or spider's.  Hubby cracked up laughing when he finally seen it.  Need help?  Go to the last picture in the post and it'll be looking at you.  In the meantime....

I added a couple small black rhinestones to the owl to make his eyes pop a bit more.  The spider is black embossed then pop dotted as you can't have spider webs without a spider.  Have you found the eye yet??  No?? Look at the bottom of the card...

Yep, there it is, peeking out from a tear in the paper. I had to add a bit of whimsy just for fun!

Are you enjoying your long weekend?  We were planning on going to Madera Canyon for a bit of a picnic (by K.F.C.) and to enjoy the pine trees but a storm blew in this morning with some pretty strong winds, thunder and lightening, and probably rain.  We live just a few miles from the Canyon and it would have been fun to watch the wild animals for a while but I guess we'll have to come up with something else to do... maybe watch some movies.   Hope you have a restful day!
