Holiday Greetings

I was on a roll last week and played with this fun stamp set by Pink & Main that I got from Scrapbook.com. It's called Winter Cardinals and has a coordinating die set.  You've seen a couple cards last month using this set.

I used a print from my stash that kinda coordinated with the image. I colored my image using my OLO markers. Sadly I'm still a bit shaky so my coloring isn't that good. You can see it in the scarf.

I added some little gold sticker dots from my stash.  I still have a bunch from teaching years ago at a scrapbook store in Green Valley, AZ.

Now I have 2 cards for next year.  I ran out for this year since I've been unable to function from the chemo and sent out a bunch of store bought cards. I haven't purchased cards in about 25 years.

Penguin Chrisstmas

I'm feeling so much better that I actually played at my desk! I had some great sequins that required me to use a fun penguin stamp set from Whimsy Stamps called Penguin Farts. This set is an absolute hoot! There is a coordinating die set but I don't have it.

I get such a laugh from these penguins. And the sentiments in the set are hilarious! I recently received the Merry Christmas die from a friend (it's probably from Wish) but just had to use it.

How do you like my sequins? I used a fun Picket Fence Studios sequin set called Penguins Come to Christmas. It's kinda hard to get a good close up but you can see the little penguins in the mix! I love them!

I only have a few days before I go in for surgery and hope to get my required Spellbinders projects done before then. My brother is coming from Denver to be with me and Dean through the surgery and a couple days after. I won't be able to make any cards for about 2 weeks after I'm supposed to go home about the 27th or 28th.

Forever Mine

I started on this card last week but my chemo fatigue stopped me. I'm glad it did because this is nothing like I was planning. I decided to make Spellbinders Small Die of the Month, Stitched Die Card Front, into an easel card!

(This post contains affiliate links to the products I used. If you shop through these links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you. Thank you for your support!)

This is a small card, 3 1/2" x 4 3/4". The die set was actually made to fit a standard A2 card but I wanted to do something different. I love all the samples I've seen but again, something different.

Here's the front view. It's kinda hard to see the little red gems in the black circles but in person, they pop!

I used 1 strand of silver floss for my stitching. And the heart was cut from Red Mirror card stock. I used my Bearly Art Glue to adhere the black grid piece to my deep red card stock.

I like how this turned out, don't you?

Joy To You

I found a bunch of little left over die cuts from classes I've taught and used some of them to make this fun Christmas card along with some great Art Impressions clear stamp sets.

I did toss the left overs as I have so much scraps! Anyway I used 2 different stamp sets, Snowy Window Set and Penguin Cheer Set.  I've used them in previous classes, too.

I used colored pencils to color my image and added some Pops of Color Clear around the snowman. I also sponged some of the same blue from the card behind the snowman for a bit more pop.

Do you try to use your left over little die cuts?

A Little Dirt Never Hurt

I finally made it to my desk for a few minutes recently and finished a card that I had the elements already stamped for. I used some great The Rabbit Hole Designs clear stamps, Desert Background DP and SXS Life DP and its coordinating die set

Our youngest son does rock crawling and built his rock crawler from parts. How amazing!  I colored my images with my OLO markers. I  really need to get the other half of the set! I probably will after I recover from my Dec. surgery.

Here's a closer look at the buggy. I didn't get fancy with my coloring on it as right now I'm a bit shaky due to my chemo. I am done with it but it will take time to recover my strength, stamina, and appetite.

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Friends brought us dinner and we had a great time though I was struggling with fatigue.

I hope to be able to get back to my desk a bit more next week.

A Thursday Throwback

Happy Thanksgiving!

I pray you have a wonderful day full of gratefulness, health, and family!

Recently my dad brought over a box of very old photos and I found 2 that thrilled me! Back in July of 1990 in Powell, WY I got the opportunity to ride and carry a flag in the Wyoming Centennial Wagon Train Parade. What an experience!

Here I am on my Arabian, El Coreb. He never carried a flag before and was a real trooper! But at the end of the parade when I had to had the flag in was a different story and we scattered everyone with his mini blow up. He realized then what we were doing. He'd been in many parades but not with a flag!

This was after he settled down. He was a beauty. A gorgeous bay with a star, strip and snip on his face. I  trained him myself.

The next day after the parade we rode with the wagon train 10 miles toward Cody, Wy. It was hot but I visited with many riders and wagon drivers. Amazing!

Gnome For the Holidays

I finally got to my desk yesterday and made a cute card using Whimsy Stamps products. They have the cutest gnomes!!

(This post uses affiliate links to products I use. If you happen to shop through these links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you! Thank you for your support!)

I used Gnome for the Holidays clear stamp set and coordinating die set along with their Connected Rectangle Die set.  The  print paper is from my stash.

I used my PrismaColor pencils to color and added some Crystal Stickles to the star and Rudolph Red Pops of Color to the tree.

Isn't this cute!

I Love to Create

This is a card with no stamping or die cuts! Oh my! What is wrong with me! But I really wanted to play with this fun paper pack from PhotoPlay that a friend gave me. I chose to only use the papers in the pack except for the black layering.

Though I'm not much of a scrapbooker I do love making cards (and I have a couple hundred in my stash). This paper pack has something for just about every craft!

This little tape runner was on the sticker page and I added a couple gems to bling it up.

This little guy was also on the sticker page and he has a roll of tape. Maybe he wraps the gifts....

And, Linda D., if you see this, thanks! And please pray for her, too. She blew out a knee and can's see a doctor until January. She's in a lot of pain.

Chrsitmas Tag Exchange

Oct. 26 I showed you my 30 Penguin Christmas tags for a swap that took place Nov. 5. I think this was the best swap ever as everyone did such an amazing job!

I got a few of my tags back as some gals dropped out of the swap but I'll use them. The pocket on the right side of the bottom picture contains 2 gift cards from the raffle I won. One is to Dutch Bros coffee and the other to Hobby Lobby.  I'll use them both when I recover from my upcoming surgery (hopefully)

I'm finally up and about to a degree but very weak. Hubby has been doing a great job finding foods that don't upset my stomach which is wonderful.  Sadly, I still sleep a lot and probably will until a while after surgery.
