Blue Magnolias & You

Quite a while ago I purchased a gorgeous stamp set from Altenew called Build A Flower: Magnolia.  I really wanted to use this stamp set in one of my classes yet I had to make the card kinda easy as that's the way they like it.

Can you believe this is the last day of March!!!! Where did it go?? Days seem to melt into each other with this staying at home stuff.

So, I went to Altenew's website and the stamp set and, oh my gosh, for the gorgeous cards!!!  I chose one that I thought my gals would like and kinda changed it a bit for them.

There are 5 flowers on this card, though it's hard to tell.  There are 3 on the bottom.  Some of my gals will probably move the 1 bloom.  I kinda think it would have been better in another spot. Also, I will change the back embossing as my wood embossing folder wants to cut my paper! Don't like this at all!

I stamped the white circle before embossing it.  Not sure if I like that or not.  I used Momento inks for stamping the flowers and the You.  I used Fun Stampers Journey's Whip Cream ink to stamp on the black.

With the close up of the sentiment I can see that the white ink kinda smudged but otherwise it's hard to see it.  I double stamped the sentiment otherwise it was a little bit faint.

It's Exploding!

Recently I was challenged to make an Exploding Envelope and, with our daughter-in-law's birthday coming up, this was the perfect opportunity!

I didn't get real fancy as I've seen others do but did make the inside
cheerful and bright!

First the cover:

I turned the tag over as I have her name on the tag.

The print paper came from a 6" x 6" pad I had in my stock.  The candles and some of the sentiments are from Fun Stampers Journey's Birthday Candles stamp set and coordinating die set and the light purple layer is embossed with FSJ's Wind & Water embossing folder.

I made a baby envelope and filled it with hearts that I die cut. Only those outside the envelope are glued down.

I added some Stardust Clear Gel pen lines to the word Wish and on the candle flames.

This card took me HOURS to make but I think it turned out pretty good.

Have you made one of these?

A 4 Carrot Post

I'm working on goodies to send to the grand and great grandkids and came across this fun little carrot made by QBeesQuest.  I've made a few of her fun ideas and she is insanely talented!

Aren't these just too cute!!! I have to admit that I ate quite a few of the Hershey Kisses after these were made.  I used a Spellbinder die set for the labels, their Small Die of the Month for March of 2018.  I picked it up on a sale last year.

The sentiment is from Fun Stampers Journey's Faithfulness stamp set. I swiped the labels with Kiwi Slice ink and splattered them with Citrus Cooler Silk.  A length of Lemongrass Twine attached the labels to the carrots.

I love sending things like this to the kids. Since we live so far from them and postage is so high I do try to keep things small and unique.
