Deck The Halls

Tuesday I spent a little time at my desk trying to finish this last card for my November class.  I used Art Impressions fun Penguin Cheer clear stamp set and some paper I found in my stash.

This is a simple card as it seems my gals anything they have to color rather easy.

I colored these little guys using my PrismaColor pencils.

I didn't notice until after I started coloring that there was a crease across the center of my image.  Has that ever happened to you?

It's Been a Quiet Desk

My desk has been sad lately as I've been down with the virus. I am now fully recovered with just a bit of fatigue left over. I was not sick other than extreme fatigue and no appetite. I got LOTS of sleep, like 20 out of 24 hours and I lost about 5 pounds. But my, do I feel better! So, I'm sharing my sad desk with you and the wonderful ladies at The Stamping Ground as I get back into the swing of things.

Isn't this just sad..... But today it will begin to see prep for an upcoming class.  I'm excited to be able to function, eat, and do things again!

I hope you are all staying healthy but if you do come down with it please get some medical help. My doctor prescribed a couple meds which helped tremendously but again, I didn't really have much for symptoms. And my hubby never did get it!  So, take care!

A Bit of Personal Life

I have no cards to show today as I have been ill. I was diagnosed with the dreaded virus early last week. My only symptoms were a head cold. And that was it. But I spent 3- 4 days sleeping and not eating. Yesterday was my first day feeling human and partially functional. I praise God that I'm almost fully recovered and will be over this on Thursday. Today I'm back at my work table and enjoying being awake! My urgent care doctor put me on Prednisone and Afrin nasal spray. He also okayed me to take a medicine I had that is extremely politically charged. I believe these 3 items prevented my from worse symptoms.

My husband has been blessed with good health and has not gotten the virus. We're praying he doesn't or if he does, to get it like I did.

I am still a bit weak but am now eating,

Thank you for your patience as I'm chomping at the bit to "play" again!

From Our Home To Yours

I finally got a chance to play with Whimsy Stamps "Slimline Observation Deck die" and made this fun Christmas card using some Spellbinders products, too!

I was having a hard time deciding what stamp set to use that would fit in these great frames. I finally decided on Spellbinders "Sweet Gingerbread" stamp set and love how it turned out.

I also used Spellbinders Big Dot Slimline embossing folder to the background. You can kinda see the Frosted Lace Stickles I added to the roof of the house, in fact, I added it to both house roofs.

I had to adhere my white frame inside the brown frame a special way.  It actually turned out pretty good.

All that foam tape really supported the die!

Now for 1 more card. Hmmmm. Are you working on any of your Christmas projects?

A Snowflake Christmas

I've been working on my cards for my November class and finished my 2nd one. I used a couple great dies, 1 from Paper Roses called Snowflake Border and another from Scrapbook.com called Merry Christmas.

Isn't the border gorgeous!! So much detail! I may add more little red dots but that will be determined if I have enough for the class. I generally need enough for 12 cards as that's my class limit.

I had some burgundy ribbon that pretty much matched my burgundy words and it really set off the snowflakes!

I think the most difficult part of this card was adhering the snowflake border and the words. My Bearly Art glue with it's itty bitty tip was awesome!  I do have some stray glue spots, oh well.

Life is a Circle

I needed a card for our stamp club's theme swap for Saturday and this turned out so easy for me. The theme is Circle of Life so this Spellbinders stamp set, Circle of Sunshine, was a no brainer!

I'm sorry there was no post yesterday. I was feeling poorly and went to Urgent Care on Tuesday morning. I have a nasty head cold and the doctor put me on Prednisone and Afrin to open my sinuses.  As of yesterday mid morning I started feeling so much better though I'm still a bit shaky. At that point I went to my desk and got busy!

Actually this was my 2nd card. The first looked awful but considering my fogged brain when I made it I was not surprised. This card I love!

Isn't the sentiment great!! Absolutely perfect for the swap theme! I think the circle dies fit in quite well, too. And since it's autumn I had to go that color scheme.

Anyway, I hope you all are staying healthy!
