The End

This is probably my final post as I'm going into Hospice care here at home. This was a hard decision but it was inevitable. I know where I am going and am looking forward to seeing my Lord along with friends and family.

Thank you all for following me and my blog will remain for a while as I work with family to delete it in about a year.

God bless you all.

Christmas Tags

Tomorrow at our Tucson papercrafters group meeting I'm taking part in an annual swap of Christmas tags. I have 24 ready to go!

(This post contains affiliate links to some of the products I used. If you shop through these links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you. Thank you for your support!)

I die cut my basic tag using an OLD Sizzix die set of tags.  I then stenciled the stars using Spellbinders Star Bright stencil and a blender brush.  I used my Waffle Flowers 8.5" square Grip Mat to hold my tag and stencil in place.   I sponged brown ink around the edges of the tag for a more vintage look.

I used another old product from Spellbinders called Sparkle Silk to add some sparkle splatters to my base. The tree is from their Bottle Brush Trees die set. I went for dramatic with the black branches.  A bit of brown twine and a small gold bell, and a red ribbon finished the tag. I used my Precision Glue Press and Nuvo glue to adhere things.

Do you make tags for Christmas?

It's a Tiny Reindeer Gift Box

I found my Lawn Fawn Tiny Gift Box die set and add ons and decided to make a couple reindeer.

(This post uses affiliate links to some of the products I used. If you shop through these links I may receive a small commission at No cost to you. Thank you for your support.)

These are pretty small, about 1" cubes. I couldn't find the reindeer add on at Scrapbook.com but I did find it on Lawn Fawn's website. I left the right box open and made sure the boxes opened at the back.

Here's a closer view of the front. Those are really tiny tiny pieces! I'm glad I have my Precision Glue Press and Nuvo glue to help me! My detail tweezers and jewel picker also got a workout!

I still have the lady bug and skunk to make.

A Christmas Corner Pop Up

I needed to make another one of these corner pop up cards for a special fun fold swap and used a great The Rabbit Hole Designs stamp set, Warm and Cozy, coordinating die set, and gorgeous paper!

(This post uses affiliate links to some of the products I used. If you shop through these links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you. Thank you for your support.)

I love how this turned out. I used an 8" square piece of card stock for my base and gorgeous Retro Christmas paper. I made my own envelope using my Envelope Punch Board.

I embossed the top of the green circle using my Snowfall/Speckles embossing folder to look a little like snow. I sponged the snow hill and sentiment using a light blue Distress Ink and my finger daugers. All coloring was done using OLO markers.

Also used was my paper trimmer, Platinum 6, detail scissors, Precision Glue Press, and Nuvo glue.

Now I need to make 1 more card for a swap with landscapes as the theme.

P is for Pumpkins

I received the mystery item for a card swap from our local stamp club last month and it was perfect for this card! I used Lawn Fawn's Stitched Pumpkins die set.

(This post used affiliate links to some of the products I used. If you shop through these links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you.  Thank you for your support!)

I like how this turned out. I love the pumpkins! I used a piece of scrap  ribbon along with cool paper from Violet Studio called Fall into Autumn.

I sponged the edges of my pumpkins for a bit more contrast using my finger daubers. Also used was my paper trimmer, Precision Glue Press, Nuvo glue, foam roll, and ATG tape.

Now I need to coordinate an envelope and my card will be ready for the end of the month meeting & swap!

A Fall Corner Pop Up Card

Even though I couldn't make it to our monthly stampers group a couple weeks ago I received the kit to make the fun fold card of the month. I have no idea where the papers and die cuts came from. I will be making another for the swap the end of the month.

(This post uses affiliate links to some of the products I used. If you shop through these links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you.  Thank you for your support!)

My base is an 8 1/2" square scored and cut on the bottom. The bottom right half overlaps the bottom left half.  I decorated it with the pieces sent in the kit.

Here you can see the quarter circle of velcro adhered to the bottom left panel. The other half is adhered to the bottom right. Works great to keep the card together.  Also, this is an easel card so we actually combined 2 techniques into 1 card.

I love the little sunflower die. So much detail! When this card is closed it's 4 1/4" x 8 1/2" so I will have to make an envelope for the one I'm swapping.

Isn't this just cute!

I used my Precision Glue Press, Nuvo glue, and my ATG adhesive tape.

A Trio of Christmas Cards

Here are the last 3 of the 8 cards I started last Saturday.  I used Snome Time 6x6 print paper (my new favorite!!).

(This post uses affiliate links to the products I used. If you shop through these links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you. Thank you for your support!)

I love that these were so fast and easy to make! And the paper really adds to the design.

Here's the 3 card individually:

I have added some enamel dots to each card for a touch of bling.

I still have oodles of the paper left so I will be making more cards later!

Also used was a paper trimmer, adhesive tape, a corner rounder, and a foam roll.

Christmas Scenes

Here's 3 more cards that I started last Saturday and completed. Again I used the same Snome Time 6x6 print paper.

(This post uses affiliate links for the products I used. If you shop through these links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you. Thank you for your support!)

I actually have NO stamping on the fronts of the cards! How unusual for me! But the cool square focal pieces are so pretty and I didn't want to cover them with stamping.

Here's the 3 individual cards:

I added enamel dots to all 3 cards for a little something extra special. These again are fast and easy to make if you are in a hurry.

Also used was a paper trimmer, adhesive tape, a corner rounder, and a foam roll.

Merry Christmas!

While at our Casas Papercrafters group this past Saturday I got 8 Christmas cards started! All that's left is embellishing the fronts and stamping the sentiments inside.

(This post uses affiliate links for the products I used. If you shop through these links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you. Thank you for your support!)

I made 3 different card fronts all using classic designs that are fast and simple yet beautiful! Here's the first 2.  The gorgeous paper is by Craft Consortium called Snome Time 6x6.  I love the small prints and the cool square focal points! The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's Toboggan Together clear stamp set.

Here are the 2 cards individually...

After stamping (using my Mini Misti) I add coordinating embellishments. I recently ordered some cool Christmas sentiment stamps for inside and will complete these cards when my order arrives.

Also used was a paper trimmer, foam roll, corner rounder, and adhesive tape.

It's Popping Up Christmas

I started these 3 Christmas pop up boxes a month ago and finally finished them! I used all Lawn Fawn products.

(This post uses affiliate links to products I used. If you shop through these links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you. Thank you for your support!)

All these used the same stamp set, Toboggan Together, and it's coordinating die set. I started with the Platform Pop Up die set, added the Hillside inserts, the Platform Pop-Up Add-On, and the Platform Pop-Up Hillside Wrap Around.   All the print paper is from Craft Consortium's It's Snome Time 6x6. I love this small print!
I colored with my pencils and used my new Precision Glue Press. This is a fabulous tool if you don't have the hand strength to squeeze bottles!

Also used was my Platinum 6 die cut machine, Mini Misti, double stick adhesive tape, Nuvo glue (came with the glue press and works pretty good!), and a small acrylic cube.

I had to make special 5 1/2" square envelopes for these so I used some old Christmas print card stocks. These will definitely take extra postage!

A Looking Glass Nativity

I  have a bunch of Hero Arts dies from their Looking Glass collection. My most current set is called Nativity.

(This post uses affiliate links to products I used. If you shop through these links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you. Thank you for your support!)

I'm starting to realize I need the Circle and Square Frames die set as trying to cut the window out of my top panel was a bugger! I used various colors of card stocks for the layers and sponged color on the palm trees,  camel, wise men, and a touch on the top of the nativity.

Here you can see the layers. A splattering of diluted white paint was added to the sky background and the top layer.  I used an old Scrapbook.com sentiment stamp set for the white embossed front but you can use their Celebrate Expressions which would be great. I used Super Fine White embossing powder, embossing ink, a heat tool, and my favorite anti static embossing powder from The Rabbit Hole Designs, the Cottontail Embossing Powder Tool.

Also used was my ATG adhesive runner, foam tape, and a paper trimmer.

I slowly building my Christmas card stash and hopefully this year I will have enough.

Stitched Pumpkins

I've been slowing increasing my stash of Lawn Fawn products and recently purchased their Stitched Pumpkins die set.  This is so cool!

(This post contains affiliate links. If you should purchase through these links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you.  Thank you for your support!)

This is a fairly simple card. After die cutting the pumpkins I sponged (using finger daubers and Distress Inks) a somewhat darker color of ink on their edges for more contrast. The paper is from Velvet Studio called Fall Into Autumn 6x6 paper pack.

I love how this card turned out especially with the splash of turquoise of the middle pumpkin.

Christmas Ornaments

I just can't stop from playing with the Birch rounds. Today's crafts finished a bag and I have one more bag to play with.

I made 2 penguins, 2 polar bears, and the rest are snowmen faces. I added fun little glints in the eyes for added interest.

I love how these turned out and all inspiration came from Pinterest.

Are you working on any Christmas ideas?

Let's Build A Snowman!

I have been having a great time painting Birch rounds purchased from a large craft store and I made 3 tall snowmen recently.

Here are the 2 tallest. I used popsicle sticks to connect the 3 rounds along with Gorilla Glue to adhere them to the backs of the rounds. I sanded the best sides of the rounds before painting.

Here's a closer look at the face. They are all the same.

Do you make fun little crafts for Christmas?

A Peaceful Bee

Sept. 15 I attended the Mesa, AZ Stamp and Scrapbook Expo and had the privilege to make the Make N Take card at The Rabbit Hole Designs booth. I was on their design team for a very short time and MaryAnn, the owner, holds a special place in my heart. We used the Peaceful Bee stamp set and coordinating die set.

(This post has affiliate links to the products I used. IF you shop through these links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you! Thank you for your support!)

With the making of this card I learned how to use their A2 Shaker Acetate Sheets! These are fabulous! The images were pre-stamped and colored.  We also used 2 stencils, the Torn Paper stencil and the Tastes Like Honey stencil.  The Torn Paper stencil was taped over the Tastes Like Honey stencil like a mask! What a great idea!

Here you can see a corner of the Shaker Acetate Sheet. It is a full sized A2! The stamped and stencil piece is just a hair smaller to fit better. We also used their Bitty Bunny Blending Brush. That was my first time using one! Very cool!

Now I'm looking forward to making more of these!!

Let's Go Fishing!

I finally made a card from Rachel's class of a fishing tackle box! I'm sure most everything is by Stampin' Up! but I love the looks of this.

As usual I change things around a bit but I color blocked the front and put the fish on a piece of embossed vellum.

Lots of layers inside! I love how it looks like a tackle box! A die cut frame cut to fit the layers and lots of tackle!

You can see the layers better here. This card folds pretty flat but will require extra postage due to weight. Isn't it a hoot!

Rachel gets a lot of her ideas from Mixed Up Craft.

More Fall Gnomes

I just had to make more of the fall Gnomes but with different flowers on their caps. This will be the last.

 I made 8 total.

I used a flower die set and cut my flowers. A little light brown was brushed into the center of each flower before adhering the centers.

All those on Pinterest who inspired me, I thank you!

Let's Get Warm and Cozy

I love The Rabbit Hole Designs and was on their design team until recently (due to my illness). I was challenged to make an easel card (which is our fun fold swap for our local stamp group for the September meeting) and I used TRHD's  Warm & Cozy stamp set.

(This post uses affiliate links for some of the products I used. If you shop through these links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you. Thank you for your support!)

I also used the coordinating die set and TRHD's Retro Christmas paper pack.  I added a piece of the gorgeous paper to my envelope.

I used a snow marker on the caps and colored with my OLO markers.  The fun little snowflakes and dots (on the sentiment label) were a gift from TRHD and came with an order.

Products also used were: Bearly Art Glue, a Blending brush, foam tape, paper trimmer, sponge dauber, and adhesive tape.

Have you made an easel card? There are many styles and this is the most simple.

Swap Cards & More

I have not shared any of the swap cards I have gotten in exchange for mine so today you'll get that opportunity! I have put the name of the crafter on each of the 3 cards but I cannot tell you anything about the stamped images.

But first I'm gonna share a cool card we made as a make n take at our local paper crafters group 2 weeks ago.

Barbie, who hosted this, called this a floating ..... sorry, I can't remember the rest of it. But we started with a piece of acetate die cut in a hexagon then added strips of paper. We then added the die cut sprig (I cut off 2 leaves to make it smaller to fit better and used the 2 leaves inside). We used foam tape to adhere to hexagon.

You can see how the "floating" looks.

Now for the swap cards....

This card used the mystery item, that iridescent film on the card and envelope.

This card is the SteamPunk theme. Love the sentiment on the envelope!

And this was the fun fold, a Bendy Window card. The back label only had Lynn's name.

I love doing these swaps and the Sept. swaps I was able to use 2 cards I had made way back when! But the mystery item is a short length of blue beads on a string so I'll have to think about that.

Snowmen in the Round

One day as I was looking over Pinterest I seen a bunch of cute snowmen made from birch rounds posted by many different crafters. Oh my gosh, were they adorable so I had to give them a try!

I had Dean drill the holes. I sanded the rounds then painted. I will definitely be making more!

Here's a closer look. And so easy peasy! Hope you give these a try!
