Another Halloween Gnome

I so love the Gnome Drive I Want It All Bundle from Spellbinders and here's another Halloween card I made recently.

(This post contains affiliate links to some of the products I used. IF you shop through these links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you. Thank you oodles for your support!)

I used an old Fun Stampers Journey spray and stencil to make the background. A similar stencil is Spellbinders Star Bright. Spellbinders has no sprays but you can use just about any "paste" such as a Lunar paste or Solar paste.

I used a couple prints to die cut the hat and beard. Makes for an interesting look.

Inside I used the same spider web print to help frame my sentiment.

If you want to purchase the dies and stamps separately you can find them here:  Gnome Drive Holiday, Gnome Drive Halloween, and Gnome Drive Sentiments.

Also used: paper trimmer, adhesive tape, foam squares, Bearly Art glue, detail scissors, and MISTI.

Do you send out Halloween cards? Though we don't celebrate this holiday I do send cards to the family.

Mystery Item Card

At our July local stampers meeting we were given a rolled up piece of holographic film to use on a card. I hemmed and hawed and finally came up with this.

(This post uses affiliate links for some of the products I used. IF you shop through these links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you. Thank you for your support!)

I layered my film on a sticky clear sheet then die cut 3 large and 6 small flowers from a die in my stash along with the scalloped oval. I stamped the sentiment using The Rabbit Hole Designs Friend stamp set

Here's a closer look at the film. I saved one of the little flowers for the envelope.

I added a panel on the card's inside and added the 2 remaining flowers.

How would you have used the film?

A Fishy Tower

My friend Rachel had a class a while back making this cute card. I believe all the papers, stamps, and maybe die cuts are from Stampin Up!

(This post contains affiliate links to some of the products I used. IF you shop through these links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you! Thanks oodles for your support!)

This is a very dimensional card but it does fold flat to 4 1/2" x 5 1/2". You just have to be careful of the 2 turtles inside. I did change this card just a bit.

I don't think you can tell but the little turtle is attached by a strip of acetate so it looks like it really is floating!

Here's the view looking down on the card. Rachel cut all the paper for the class.

I used a piece of left over scrap and framed my sentiment plus swiped some coordinating Distress Ink on its edges.

This card took some time to make. I don't have directions but check out Mixed Up Craft for directions. She is so talented!

Out of my stash I used Pearl-Green Apple Pops of Color, Bearly Art Glue, double sided tape, ATG tape, and detail scissors.

Gearhead or Steam Punk?

Our local monthly stampers group has a theme card swap every month and it is Steam Punk this month. I'm not good at this theme but I may have come close. I went with a shaker card.

(This post has affiliate links to come of the products I used. If you shop through theses links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you. Thank you for your support!)

I used some KaiserCraft papers that I purchased way be when and it's not available at Scrapbook.com. I also used some of the paper to decorate my envelope.

Hubby went to the hardware store and got me some star washers as they kinda look like gears. Again, no stamping as this paper pack has stickers, too. My biggest issue is remembering to add the clear acetate piece for the shaker!

Also used was a paper trimmer, ATG tape, double sided adhesive, foam roll, rectangular dies, and detail scissors.

When was the last time you made a shaker card?

Happy Hallognomie!

I just couldn't wait to play with my Spellbinders Gnome Drive I Want It All bundle and here's my first card!

(This post contains affiliate links to some of the products I used.  If you shop through these links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you! Thank you oodles for your support!)

I love how this turned out! You can purchase the 2 die sets separately, Gnome Drive Holiday and Gnome Drive Halloween. My background was made using an old stencil from Fun Stampers Journey. Spellbinders now has a similar one called Star Bright. I used a Simon Hurley Solar Paste called Beluga but Spellbinders has a similar one called Royal Flush. I also used a palette knife to apply the paste. I used my Bearly Art Glue to assemble the die cuts.

That Solar Paste really pops on the black card!! And it almost looks the the cat's eyes are glowing!

Here's the inside.  I used the Gnome Drive Sentiments stamp set. Adding the cat was an afterthought.

We don't do Halloween but all our kids and grand kids do so I will make "cutesy" cards to send to them. Do you make Halloween cards?

Crafting With My Gnomies

A dear friend knows I like gnomes and she gave me a great PhotoPlay paper pack called Crafting With My Gnomies. Since I need a Bendy card for a swap coming up I decided to use it.

(This post uses affiliate links to products I used. If you shop through these links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you. Thank you oodles for your support!)

I used a few of the stickers that came in the pack to decorate my card, no ink or stamps involved!

Here's the view of the card from the top. It really pops!

A month ago I shared a Bendy card using the kit we got as a make n take at our local monthly stamp club. Click here to see. I gave info on making this in that post but I actually added more decorative print panels to today's card. It will require extra postage.

I also used a paper trimmer and ATG tape.

Fall Gnomes

I seen some fun gnome ornaments on Pinterest and just had to make a fall version!

I made 5 of the gnomes with the sunflowers on their hats and 3 of the ones with mums. I used a LOT of craft glue and Gorilla Glue.

I started with these wooden items from a local dollar store (bought all they had) and have some left over to make Christmas gnome ornaments. Originally I was going to use something other than leaves for the beards but I didn't have what I wanted in stock and did have the leaves. That's a no brainer.

I used 3 leaves for each and used a lot of craft glue and Gorilla glue.

Are you making anything special for autumn?

Gnomes Everywhere!

I like gnomes and recently Spellbinders released a bundle (or purchase singly) of some amazing dies and stamps! Well, I had to have the bundle called Gnome Drive I Want It All!

(This post contains an affiliate. IF you shop through this like I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you. Thank you!)

I got my bundle yesterday, and if it wasn't for priorities I'd be busy! But I have only one more card I have to get done then I'm making Halloween Gnomes!  Yahoo!

Always Be A Dreamer

I've been playing with my StampWheel and some stamps I just got from Altenew and am loving it!

( This post contains affiliate links to some of the products I used. If you shop through these links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you. Thank you oodles for your support!)

I used 2 different stamp sets for this card.  The "wreath" was made with Altenew's Botanical Wreath Builder set which also has a coordinating die set.

The sentiment is from Altenew's Sophisticated Wreath set. (I couldn't get a link so it must be sold out at this time on Scrapbook.com.) I used a variety of Distress Inks and love how they stamped unevenly due to not cleaning my clear stamps before using. I added drops of Terracotta Pops of Color to my flower centers and on the banner.

Also used was a paper trimmer, ATG tape, foam tape, and detail scissors.

A Christmas Can

A couple Saturdays ago I joined our paper crafters group and got the opportunity to do the make n take. My friend Carol had all these cans so we took turns decorating them. I finished mine at home last week.

(This post uses affiliate links to some of the products I used. If you shop through these links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you. Thank you oodles for your support!)

I used Spellbinders' Create A Christmas Sentiment die set to add the Merry Christmas on one side of the can.  I don't know where she got the print paper, the sticker trees, or the rosette on top.

The gold and white Christmas tree die is from Spellbinders' Bottle Brush Trees die set. This is a great die set! The cord is from my stash.

This is the can top. It's not glued on and won't be until it is filled.

And the can bottom. Carol opened the can bottom in order to save the pull top for this purpose.  I've done these before and may need to make some for Halloween.

A Southwest Festive Card

I got this stamp set in back in March and just now got around to playing with it. It's from Whimsy Stamps called Animal Tiles Desert Unexpected Wonder. Perfect for where we live!

(This post has affiliate links to some of the products I used. If you shop through these links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you. Thank you oodles for your support!)

I was surprised there was a "jackalope" instead of just a jack rabbit. Next to him is a coatimundi (kinda like a cross between a racoon and a monkey and yes, I have seen them). Bottom is a gila monster and a rattlesnake.  The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps' Cute Cacti stamp set. I also used a great die from Whimsy Stamps called Peekaboo Window 2.

The print paper is from my stash but Scrapbook.com's Playful Smooth Cardstock matchedwonderfully! And the white dots were made using White Pops of Color.

I also used my ATG tape, foam tape, a paper trimmer and detail scissosrs.

Cheers To You

At our local scrapbook store in Tucson, AZ (BlueMoon Scrapbooking) a group was started who loves Lawn Fawn products. I couldn't make the first meeting due to just having had chemo. But a friend went and said it was pretty good and got me a partial card front to make. The stamps are from the Just Plane Awesome clear stamp set.

(This post uses affiliate links to some of the products I used. If you shop through these links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you. Thank you oodles for your support!)

The yellow/orange background is from a Lawn Fawn die called Stitched Cloud Backdrop Portrait and the foreground clouds I could not find on any website. The sentiment comes from Spellbinders' Let's Celebrate Sentiments and inside I stamped a birthday sentiment from Penny Black's Better With Age clear stamp set. I colored using my PrismaColor pencils.

Also used was my ATG tape and Bearly Art Glue, my smallest blender brush, and a paper trimmer (so many different styles!).

Seinding Bear Hugs

I recently got in an order and some of my purchase consisted of stamps and a die set by Stampendous from Scrapbook.com. Oh my gosh but these are great!

(This post contains affiliate links of some of the products I used. If you shop through these links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you. Thank you oodles for your support!)

The die set is called Bear Hugs.  The faces were stamped using the Bear Hugs Faces and Sentiments stamp set.  The frame was die cut using Waffle Flower's Nesting Portrait Arches Die set. (
There is another stamp set available to be used with these  called Hugs Sentiments.)  I also embossed the dark brown layer using Spellbinders Bamboo Trellis 3D folder.  After embossing my brown card stock I sanded it with a sanding block to make it pop a bit.

Aren't these faces just adorable! I sponged darker inks than the card stocks around the 2 bears and the frame. I added cheeks using a colored pencil and added Diamond Glaze to the eyes and noses. I used Scrapbook.com's Neutrals Smooth Cardstock to get the colors I wanted. These have a white core so sanding is easy!

I stamped a small piece of cardstock and put this on the inside.

I also used a paper trimmer, foam tape, and ATG tape.

You can also get the Bear Hugs collection at Spellbinders!

Have You Played with Lawn Fawn's New Platform Pop-Up Yet?

A friend had a class for a great card using Lawn Fawn's new Platform Pop-Up and here's my card. What a hoot!

(This post uses affiliate links to products I used. If you shop through these links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you. Thank you oodles for your support!)

The stamped images are by Stampin' Up! and maybe the die cut vines are, too, but I don't know.  I just wanted to learn how to make this.  (I have purchased this die set.) She also used the Platform Pop-Up Add On (the blue back section & ordered) and Platform Pop-Up Hillside Wrap Around (the banana front section and on my wish list). I used my Bearly Art Glue to assemble.

Here's to view of the top. I should have used a blender brush and some green ink to color the white top and tabs but it was an afterthought.  It does lay flat but takes a 5" x 7" envelope to mail. I colored the stamped elements with OLO markers.

I'll be giving this card to a friend for their birthday. I'm waiting on my order from Scrapbook.com to make a Christmas box. And they have videos on making this cool box!

A Bird in Branches

Back in March I received some new products (to me) and I am finally getting around to using a Sizzix multilayered stencil called Bird & Branches. I also got to use my Sizzix Stencil & Stamp Tool!

(This post uses affiliate links to many of the products I used. If you shop through these links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you. Thank you oodles for your support!)

I'm relatively new at layered stencils but I think this turned out pretty good. It looks like a blank spot on the bird's neck but I used such a pale blue to start it barely shows up in real life.  The sentiment is made of die cuts from an old Sizzix Thinlits set called Phrases, Thank You & Flamingo.

Here's a closer look at the birds. This stencil set consists of 4 layers. I used numerous Distress Inks and my Blending Brushes.

Inside I stamped a sympathy sentiment from Scrapbook.com called In Sympathy.

I will have to make an envelope from a sheet of 12" x 12" card stock as this card is a 6" x 6".
