Life Is A Circle

I needed a card for our monthly stamp club meeting this Saturday with a theme of "It's All Round." I'm sure there will be others that do what I did but it felt good to craft again. I used a few Spellbinder products and a Tim Holtz stencil.

This is a birthday card as I added a sentiment inside. I used an old Spellbinders stamp set called Circle of Sunshine what was the clear stamp of the month for June 2021. For the sentiment inside I used their Birthday Unboxing Sentiments clear stamp set. The small circles were made using an old Tim Holtz stamp/stencil set for Halloween.

The die cut flowers are from Spellbinders Petite Floral Potpourri die set. The circle and scallop dies are old Spellbinders sets.  I used some fun Liquid Pearls, Buttercup, Ocean Blue, and Mint Green.
Scrapbook.com has a wonderful assortment of colors to choose from.

Thinking of You

I managed to get this card finished finally and love this Gerber Daisy by Spellbinders!

I like the dramatic colors, don't you? And I used their new Bamboo Trellis 3D embossing folder. You must have the new Universal Plates for the Platinum to make this work.

I also used their new Sentimental Greetings clear stamp set and their Fluted Classics Circles die set.

Sunflowers or Daisys?

I just couldn't wait any longer to play with Spellbinders new Gerbera Daisy die set and Bamboo Trellis 3D Embossing Folder any longer. They are part of the new The Painter's Garden collection by Susan Tierney. And this card is a Slimline Easel card!

Since I love sunflowers I kinda changed to to look a bit more like sunflowers. I'll give you measurements and score lines further down.

You  can see the trellis in the background and I added Glaze 'N Glue to the ladybugs.  I added a few Spectrum AB color essentials gems for a little more bling.

I used their Birthday Unboxing clear stamp set for my sentiments. I love the Happy Birthday font! I powder embossed the Happy Birthday with a detail black powder using my embossing ink.

Here's the side view. The base is VERY easy! You score a full sized piece of card stock on the long side at 5 1/2". Flip. Now score at       3 3/4" and 7 1/4".  Fold your paper to have a mountain, valley, mountain fold. I did double layers (shown in close up) and I make my layers 1/8" difference in size. Therefore, I cut my bottom 3 layers at 2 3/4" x 3 5/8" and my (trellis) layers at 2 5/8" x 3 1/2". You don't have to make layers like I did, just decorate like you want.

You Brighten My Day

Prior to my surgery I also got to play with Spellbinders Clear Stamp of the Month and its coordinating die set!  This is so springy! To find out more about it click on their logo in the sidebar then on their Clubs tab. It is called "Hydrangea Bouquet."

(This post contains affiliate links to some of the products I used. If you shop through these links or the logo I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you! Thank you for your support!)

I colored this beautiful image with my OLO markers. I'm slowly getting better but I still have a tendency to get just a little outside the lines. I love that you can purchase the coordinating die set with the stamp set as a bundle and save a couple dollars!

I used special blending paper, the kind Copic users like, and the blending went pretty good. I was having fun with the colors and wanted something bright. I'm sure many in the north and east are really tired of the snow and cold by now! So, THINK SPRING! I also used Aquamarine Color Essentials Gems for a touch of bling.

Sstitched With Love

Today Spellbinders releases their January Clubs and I got to play with their NEW Stitched Die of the Month! I didn't have the name of it when I made this post but please click on their logo in the sidebar then on clubs. This one is just to cool! It is called "Nested Stitched Burst."

(This post contains affiliate links to some of the products I used. If you shop through these links or logos I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you.  Thank you for your support!)

I made this card just prior to going in for surgery and scheduled this post.

The stitching took me some time but you can use colored pencils or fine tip markers instead of floss. I used a red and a white floss for my stitching.

Here's a closer look at my stitching. It's really very easy!

I added a few Red Color Essentials Gems for a little bling and the sentiment is from their Sentimental Greeting clear stamp set which is an add on that you can purchase with this die set! (There was no link available when I made this post but again, go to there Clubs tab and it should be listed with this die.)
