Let's Stick Together

This cool cactus card is the 4th and final card we'll be making at my August 27 class. I used a retired but very loved Fun Stampers Journey stamp and die set called Arizona Trail.

When this set came out back in 2018 or so a fellow FSJ demonstrator, Chris C., made a gorgeous card and this is my version of it.

I splattered some Sour Lemon and Sparkle Silks on the card before wrapping the cool green thread around the base. I then attached the card front to my base and added the rhinestones.

Sadly there is very little from this card that you can purchase but what I have are linked below.

I think my gals will love this.

You are Fan Cactus

I have been working on cards for my August class which is cactus themed. This card developed using an old Spellbinders die set called Potted Cacti and more!

I found some faux leather in my stash and thought that would be cool on this card. And the print paper is from The Paper Collage, it's the back of some fun coffee paper!

I sponged a darker green ink on the sides of each of the cacti and an orange around the "sun". A few Rainbow Drops finished the card.  The sentiment is from a great clear stamp set by Scraps of Love called Advise From a Cactus.  I made a cool card using this set which I posted May 3.

We have all 3 of these cacti in our area but no saguaros on our place as we're a bit too much elevation. But go 10 miles north and they start appearing!

Happy Gnome

I like gnomes and Spellbinders new Dancin' Gnome die set from their Be Merry Collection is just too cute!

As I was making this card my imagination started playing and I told my hubby this gnome was in the land of the midnight moon where things are not as they seem. Just look at the trees! Well, he started laughing and so did I.  I also used Spellbinders Create A Christmas Sentiment die set and Color Block Scenic Scape die set. This gnome can be made so his legs and arms move but I haven't figured that part out yet.

After adhering the Happy I went over it with Crystal Stickles and added Crystal Stickles dots to the hillside.

There are lots of itty bitty pieces to this gnome die set like the little white pieces on his legs, his hands, nose, and slippers. It took me a while to make him but I find that very therapeutic. And mindless as I watched a movie. My Bearly Art Glue got a lot of use! All the paper is from my stash and I used a bunch of my small scrap pieces, too!

Do you like gnomes? They're very popular in the crafting world right now.

Snowflake Kisses

I'm in love with Spellbinders new Chill Bear die set from their new Be Merry Collection! Aren't they beautiful!

Sadly my picture kinda washed out the beautiful navy blue of the sky. This snowflake paper is the last of my collection I purchased from The Paper Collage in the Phoenix area. You can bet your boots I'll be buying more when I get to Pam's store again!

I made the hills using Spellbinders new Color Block Scenic Scape die set (part of the new Tis The Season Collection) and the sentiment comes from their Mini Christmas Greetings clear stamp set.  I added Frosted Lace Stickles to the hills and dotted the centers of the white snowflakes in the sky. Can you see the sparkle in the bears' eyes? I used my Stardust Clear Gel pen and dotted them.

This card is a short slimline card. It's 3 1/2" x 7" and will fit in standard business envelope without requiring extra postage.

How would you used these chill bears?

Chill With The Bear

I recently received Spellbinders new Chill Bear die set and Gifts of Christmas Sentiments glimmer set to make a couple projects for them. These great products are a part of their new Be Merry Collection. When I first seen this bear I thought of the Coke commercials of a few years back that I thought were cute.

I had a lot of fun making this large tag. It's an A2 size. I used a piece of print paper left over from my class last week. I die cut the hills from some glitter paper in my stash using Spellbinders new Color Block Scenic Scape die set.

I foiled directly on my print paper using Red foil. I also die cut some snowflakes and added some gems from the Crystal Mix Essentials Gems pack (out of stock when I made this post). My Bearly Art Glue came in handy!

I added some light grey ink to the legs, belly, and neck of the bear to kinda look like shading. (Or dirt.) Oh, and I also used Spellbinders new Blue Spruce card stock for the trees.

Isn't this cool! Wouldn't it look great on a gift?
