More Valentine Treats

Here's the last 2 Valentine treat boxes I decorated using the little Brachs Conversation Heart boxes.  These are for a couple granddaughters.  I think they'll like them though this is similar to what I did last year.

I used a variety of Fun Stampers Journey dies, stamps, and paper.  The sentiment is from their Valentine Pals stamp set.  I used some tag dies from my stash.

One of the granddaughter's favorite color is purple so this one is for her.

This, of course, is for the other granddaughter. I used a gorgeous print from an old pack of FSJ print paper and coordinated my solid colors.   Now to get these in the mail!

How are you coming with your Valentine treats?

Valentine Treat Boxes

I usually send goodies to the grand and great grand kids for Valentines Day and I've been busy working on some for this year.  I usually get boxes of Conversation Hearts and decorate them specifically for each child.

These are for our 2 great grand sons.  One LOVES sharks and the other likes just about anything.

Aren't these cute! The covers can be slid off and saved.

I used FSJ's Shark Attack rubber stamp set and coordinating die set for this box.  The hearts on both boxes are from my stash.  And I colored both with my Color Burst pencils.

For this box I used an older rubber stamp set called Campfire Friends and its coordinating die set.

Now to get these in the mail!  Are you ready for the 14th?  It's right around the corner!

Wednesday Workdesk and Heavy Equipment Treat

Can you believe this is the LAST Wednesday of the month??  Wasn't it just New Year's Day last week???  What happened??

Anyway, today you get the opportunity to see what's happening on my desk.  This is sponsored by brought to you courtesy of Julia of the Stamping Ground.  She's been doing this for 556 weeks!! This is the longest running blog hop ever!!  Are you ready??

This is my desk Monday afternoon after cleaning up the GKW pile. (Goodness knows what.)  Now I know what's in the piles! And the pile is about 1/4 of what it was!

Oh my gosh!! For me this is shocking!! But it didn't last.  Unfortunately I have no other picture as yesterday my hubby and I took my dad in for a medical procedure and I didn't get a picture of my desk yesterday after I made 5, yes 5, Valentine treat boxes for grand and great grand children.  I used Brach's Conversation Heart boxes and covered them.

This is for our grandson, he's soon to be 5 and absolutely LOVES trucks, heavy equipement, and trains.  And he can tell you just about every part of them!

I used a Spellbinder small die set to make this as I thought it was perfect for him!  I used a Picket Fence Studio brush and a die cut to add the funky design but I kinda hid it behind the machine.  Oops!

So now please head over to the Stamping Ground and check out the links to other desks!

You're Outta This World

At our local stamp club meeting on the 18th we were given a mystery item to use for a card swap.  This item is great and I actually got my card made for our Feb. 22 meeting!

(This post contains affiliate links. When you shop though my links I may receive a small commission at no cost to you!  Thanks for your support!)

The item was a little stamped box.  I chose a brown one.

I wanted to make a card that reminded me of our trip to Roswell, NM the first of the month.  Now, isn't this a hoot!!!  The embellishments are from a package called Space Glow Stickers & Gems.

The planet was made using a plate from my kitchen!  I lightly drew the edge on a piece of paper with a pencil, carefully cut it out and debossed it with an embossing folder to look like craters.  The background print was from my stash.

I stamped the alien balloons on colored card stock and used Journey Glaze to give them a shine. I had to hand cut my astronaut and balloons as there are no dies for them but they weren't that difficult.

I think my card will be totally "out of the box" for this mystery item but I won't know until our meeting.
