I used an old wood mounted stamp created by Stan Lynde. He drew the Rick O'Shay cowboy cartoon strip. This comic strip was started in 1958. I met Stan about 1988 as he and another came into the attorney office where I worked and incorporated to start the Montana Centennial Cattle Drive. Stan also started a company called Pure Montana Stamps and used characters from the Rick O'Shay comic strip. I have a few of his stamps. I also have a Rick O'Shay calendar that he autographed. (I did ride in the Wyoming Centennial Wagon Train for 10 miles between Powell & Cody, WY and carried a flag for the Powell parade. What an experience!)
I have used this stamp many times for anniversaries. I colored the characters with my Color Burst Pencils and used my Picket Fence Studios blending brush to add some River Stone ink around the edges of the stamped image.
I added some metallic embellishments. The cool wood print is from Authentique.
I think our grand daughter and hubby will get a "kick" out of their card!
