A Pot of Cacti

Last summer a friend and I went to a great store in west Phoenix, AZ called The Paper Collage. I have to admit I spent a bundle! I purchased a sheet of watercolor paper that was sectioned into a number of fun cactus prints to be colored. She doesn't have much available online but the store.... WOW!

I colored this fun image using my Color Splash pencils and water blending brushes.

I embossed the pink layer with a fun Darice cacti embossing folder. The greenish print paper is also from The Paper Collage. A few southwest styled metal accents with small paper brads adds to the theme. I used 1/2" glue dots to attach them. The sentiment came from the cool Arizona Trails rubber stamp set by Fun Stampers Journey. There's even a coordinating die set!

Here's a closer look at the coloring. I added some Clear Wink of Stella to the yellow dots.

I think this would make a great guy card, don't you?
