Gorgeous Leaves

This is another card I'm planning on teaching at my April 26 class.  I was inspired by a card on Pinterest and changed it up to what I have.

This card is a bit more difficult than the card I shared yesterday in that one must be careful when gluing the leaf tips to the Whip Cream top.  I didn't wait long enough for some of the glue to set so my leaf die had a tendency to move and when one looks closely one can see my glue! Bummer.

I did add a sliver of foam square under the center leaf point so that it wouldn't  flop.

How do you like this card? I really like my leafy die and the white on white is quite elegant!

Red Cutaway Flowers

I have now started working on some card samples for my April 26 class.  I haven't yet come up with a name for the class but they'll all have flowers on them.  I've been searching Pinterest for ideas and here's one I think I'll teach.  I usually start with a simple card and work up to more complicated but all my cards can easily be finished at home if need be.

I had a hard time finding some flower dies that would work for this, most of what I have are a bit too big to get 3 across like this.

I found some red sparkle dots made by Goosebumps that fit wonderfully within each flower yet sparkled like the button!

Though my class is before Mother's Day none of my cards will celebrate that day as most of my "students" are older and have no mothers.  I may bring a Mother's Day stamp in case they'd rather use it maybe for a daughter or daughter-in-law, as I do since my mom passed 5 years ago.

A Buck in the Birch

A few weeks ago I went to Mesa, AZ for a stamp and scrapbook expo.  I've been attending this twice yearly show off and on since the 1990s and yearly since 2009 or so.  A couple times I worked it in September for Fun Stampers Journey.  I was looking for some particular products and checked out the Rubbernecker booth and found a cool die called Birch Forest.  Well, I wasn't looking for it but I bought it anyway.  Here's my first card using it.

The cool Buck is from the Deer N Trees (S4-775) die set.  This is a really cool holiday die set!
The sentiment is from a set that was retired but I found it back on the site called Dude Ranch (SS-0477).

After I made this card I did a search on Pinterest and found all kinds of great inspiration!  I'll be using these dies a whole lot more!

Do you use Pinterest for inspiration?

Eggs & a Bunny Card Remake

Last Friday was my last class for Green Valley Recreation.  The last couple of years my class numbers have been falling so I think I'll do something different.   But anyway, I taught the Double Dutch Fold card and ended up doing a "fix" on one of my samples!  The original card was posted HERE if you want to see the before.

Are you  ready for the after??

The differences are subtle but I added a bunch of solid colored eggs behind the bunny and some flowers!

Did they help?  Let me know what you think please!!

SomeBunny Special

A while back I won a drawing for a project kit that a friend used as a Make N Take at a vendor fair.  I got it last Wednesday and made it immediately. I have been looking at the die for this at Spellbinders for quite a while and this just may have put it on my next order!

I have listed below the products I know was used but I have no idea where the stamped text and tag shape came from.  But isn't it just adorable!!

Her directions said to use 2 of the flowers on each handle but I decided to use only 1 and then use the others on the tag.

So, I punched a hole in the tag to add the 2 flowers then bent the top one's petals for dimension.

What do you think?  Wouldn't this be great for a table decoration or change the colors for another occasion??
