Work Desk Wednesday, But Its Not a Desk

Here is southern AZ we're having the most glorious spring!  Temps are in the upper 70s and the skies are mostly clear and very blue.  It's really hard to go to my desk in this!  So, I haven't!!!  I'll show you soon what I've been doing.  If you've been following me you know each Wednesday I share a picture of my desk in whatever condition it's in through the blog tour of desks put together by Julia at the Stamping Ground.  Well, since our kids are coming next week I've been cleaning and stuff to get our house looking a bit better (like dusting, vacuuming, scrubbing floors, etc.) We even got a new small deck built at our back door!

We had one hubby built about 6 years ago out of scrap iron and plywood but it got to looking absolutely awful! So, we hired a "handy man" friend to make this out of fir. The water running out from under it on the right is from hubby hosing down a potable water tank (for emergencies as we're on a community well). Now we have a nice place to sit and store often used items under it.

Then there's the front patio.  I purchased some pansies and petunias and something else to plant in a couple pots.

This is the overall view of our patio.

And our plants so far.  I just planted the hanging pot in the top pic and this whole thing in the bottom.  Hopefully they'll take off but I did add a bit of Plant Starter to the water before I watered them.  The shepherds crook in the rose bush pot (top large grey pot) is for a blue watering can that I plan to add some fairy lights to and drape (maybe) over the rose bush.  The bush is growing fast so not sure I'll keep the crook there.  I have yet to start my garden area but I'm not in any rush yet.

Well, that's all I have.  I hope you head over to the Stamping Ground and check out the other crafters and their links!

You have been busy and I don't blame you not wanting to be indoors when the weather is so fantastic. The patio area is looking very pretty with your new plants - I love that deep pink of those petunias it's a very rich colour. Hope you have lots of fun when your kids visit,
