Life Is Short, Enjoy The Ride

Happy Halloween! I hope you have a save and fun evening.

As you know I've recently been accepted as an affiliate to Art Impressions! They sent me a couple stamp sets and I made a card yesterday using 1 of them, #5186 - Enjoy The Ride, but it is no longer available. It is a very cute set!

I used some other retired products from Spellbinders and Fun Stampers Journey so the links below is only for current products.

I made a video while making this card and you can check that out by clicking on my YouTube link and looking for the Oct. 30 video.  I also have oodles of other videos for your viewing.

The framed piece that the bike is adhered to is from a retired FSJ paper pack called Project Me Prints. And the yellowish and bluish card stocks are discontinued. I was just wanting to play with this set so made no real effort to use current products.  I used my self made glue sponge to add adhesive to the sprigs since they would have been a bit interesting to add glue any other way. Maybe a glue pen would work good.

I colored the bike with Color Burst pencils. I really like these pencils! You can use a blending stump with a tough of baby oil to blend though I didn't do that here.

I will probably donate this card to Youth On Their Own in Tucson, AZ through our local stamp group.  I'll just add a birthday greeting inside  I did order the die needed for the other stamp set and a few more stamps to start up my collection.  Just click on the AI! link in the side bar and check out all the amazing stamps and products they have!!

A Lot of Santas and a Desk

I think I procrastinated a bit but I have 30, yes 30!!! Christmas tags to make!  And not only that, today is the day you get to see my desk, courtesy of Julia at the Stamping Ground!! This is week 543.

This is my desk yesterday mid afternoon.  My Scan N Cut is busy cutting the red tags. I cut 32 even though I only needed 30 but a couple extra will get used.  On my glass mat is a sheet of red card stock that will get used, a box of Santas, and 1 on the mat to determine what size I wanted.

And now for what I have done so far... and I have a LONG ways to go, hopefully I'll be done Friday as Thursday I will be at our church all day helping prepare for our BLAST, a Halloween alternative with kids games, LOTS of candy, hot dots, pop corn, and cotton candy.  I will be working on registration when we open at 5:30 pm.

Anyway, here are my Santas.  I have yet to cut and glue on the eyes so they are a bit creepy.  The beards are silver glitter paper and the "fur" on the hats are made from white glitter paper.

I hope you head over to the Stamping Ground and check out the other deskers involved in this weekly blog hop of desks!  And, if you're so inclined, please leave a comment for me of what you think of my desk and project!

A Wobbly Monster

(This post contains affiliate links. When you shop through my links, I may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Thank you for your support!)

Well, Halloween is just a couple of days away and I have already sent out all our goodies to our kids and families but I still have 2 cards to show you.  I'll share one today and the last one Friday (even though it's Nov. 1).  Are you ready???

When this fun Lil Monster stamp set and coordinating die retired from FSJ I just could NOT give it up!  I've used it quite a few times almost the same way... covering the spots with fun colored enameled embellishments!  And the background print is also retired but I have oodles so I keep using it.

What's fun about this guy is that I used a large action wobble spring behind the monster!  I did paper piecing on the teeth, horns, and bag for more fun.  How do you like all the eyes behind him?  The large cyclops eye is from a stash I had, the others from FSJ.

Now that I'm done with these I have 30 Christmas tags to make for a special swap on Saturday... If it isn't one thing it's another!

A Trio of Ghosts and a Pumpkin

(This post contains affiliate links. When you shop through my links, I may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Thank you for your support!)

Are you ready for more Halloween cards??

I'm still having fun with September's Small Die of the Month, Eek-A-Boo.  I'm so glad I was subscribed!

Now.... isn't this different looking!  I actually separated the top and bottom of the card front with a piece of Clearview Sheet then adhered my ghosts!

You know it's not easy to really show this but I think this view did pretty good!

I kept this card very simple since I did the cut out front.  A few black dots from my stash and it was done!  I did stamp Happy Halloween inside using Whip Cream ink and the sentiment from the Jack O Lanterns stamp set.

And who wouldn't love this fun smiling Jack O Lantern? I even used it's coordinating die set.

The paper is from an old pack of retired paper and the Boo! was cut from some glitter paper I was given for Christmas last year!

I added some color to him with my Color Burst Pencils and some Journey Glaze on the face features.  Really made him pop a bit more!

Well, just 2 more to go! Stay tuned!
