A Christmas Cactus

Yesterday I started on my card samples for my November 22 class.  I used this card on my FB Live (and now YouTube) plus I shared a technique - the making of a double bow!

 Isn't this a cool card!

Do you recognize the cactus die?? I've had it since about 2005 or 2006.  It's one of the very first dies I ever purchased!  And the die cut machine I used was a little red Sizzix machine with a handle.  To cut dies one had to run the die and paper just a little ways through the machine, pull down the handle, run the die a little further, pull down the handle, then again until the whole die was cut!  Yep, that old!

This is the only die I kept for some reason. Now it came in handy!

Here's a close up of the embossing. I found the Darice cactus folder while at the Mesa, AZ  Stamp & Scrapbook Expo last month. The Tiny Dots is from FSJ.

And here's a closer look at the bow I made.  It's very easy.  All the paper, ink, and some other products are Fun Stampers Journey products and are linked below.

Now to get in gear and get 2 more cards done for this class!
