It's a Lovely Floral Twist

I'm thinking of ideas for my April class. I'll be doing florals/flowers or basically feminine cards since May has Mother's Day.  Most of my class ladies' moms have passed but I like to send cards to our daughters, daughters-in-law, and granddaughters that have kids.

I used a new to me stamp set and coordinating die set from Art Impressions. This is one of the purchases I made at the Rubber Stamp Expo in Mesa this month.  It's called a "Twister".

The center pot of flowers twists! AI! has lots of great Twister items but I chose this one for my class. I embossed my pink layer and die cut it then adhered it to my card base and die cut it again.  I supposed I could have cut in one pass but then I would have had to add more adhesive around the opening.

I colored the 2 sides of the flowers (glued together after coloring and die cutting) with my Fun Stampers Journey's Color Burst pencils then used my Stardust Clear Gel pen in the flower centers.

I stamped the word with my Tuxedo Black Momento ink pad as I find the plain dye ink works better for me on clear stamps. Unfortunately my photo is a bit off focus.  I used my Stardust Clear Gel pen on the word, too.

I think my gals would love this card.  I'll probably get some responses when I share this on my FaceBook page as many of them follow me there.
