A Staged Workdesk

Ah, Wednesday.  Hump Day. Just over 2 weeks to Christmas.  And I'm feeling good! Got all our stuff in the mail Monday! Three small boxes and an envelope.  I now need to work on getting our cards mailed.  I have over 50 so should have just enough.  And today I'm joining up online with some wonderful ladies to share my desk. I have to admit my desk is staged as we were in Tucson most of yesterday getting some work done to my car.... upholstery. The arm rests were shot and shredding due to poor fabric used and the car wash people being rather rough when cleaning the interior.  I had used Gorilla Glue and Rubber Cement trying to keep them together. But they were ugly.  So, anyway, no desk time.  I'm joining in today with Julia of the Stamping Ground

So what's on my desk?  Left of the glass mat is a card with the products I used to make it (minus the papers - those are on the floor). I do this so that I can make my post. Since I'm an affiliate for 3 companies I link the products so hopefully people will purchase.  On the glass mat is another pile.  There's a Christmas goody gift box and it's products. Then, center and right are a couple orders I got in yesterday.  I really want to play.

Last Saturday many from this desk group got together via Zoom.  Tried as I might I just couldn't get home in time for the 2nd video group. I did find out there is an 8 hour time difference.  Oh well. But I do enjoy looking at their desks and projects. Maybe someday.  So, anyway, head over to Julia's and check out the links.

Hope your car got sorted ok - what on earth were you doing to your armrests that they got so shredded?! Hope they’re better now. Your desk looks busy and ready for action, hope you have fun - I hope you can join in the Crop another time, it was lovely to meet all the gals from the US and Canada!

LOL! A staged desk? For WOYWW? Well none of us have EVER done that before....

HA!

Zoom across time zones is a huge challenge, with us in the UK on GMT, Parents/sister/brother/In-laws on East Coast time, son and BIL on West Coast time...

Some day maybe there will be reasonable worldwide shipping. I see stuff I love then it is always a hunt to find it this side of the pon. Oh well...

Happy WOYWW! (WowWee!)

I hate to tell you, Carol, but my desk always looks staged. I am a neat freak and try to only work on one project at a time. Too bad you couldn't join in on Saturday. I think Julia is going to have more of these events in the future.

Gosh, how do you shred car rests? I can see rips and tears, but shreds? Your poor car. Happy WOYWW from #2.

Most of the time my desk looks staged. I try to clean up between projects but sometimes it just gets out of hand and I have stuff everywhere. I cannot work in clutter it is like my brain stalls!

My husband and I were stationed at Fort Huachuca and we spent a lot of weekends in Tucson. I hope all went well with your car refurbishing!

Sorry we didn't get to see you on the 2nd go around Saturday, but maybe next time!! I hate taking my car to the dealership, it never turns out in my favor! Although your experience may have not been directly with the dealer! I hope it all came out in the wash though! :) Never been to Tucson, but lived in New Mexico. Maybe one day I will make it out that way! I think we have all "staged" our desks from time to time! LOL Mainly for me because it's usually a wreck!!! Have fun with your new products! Hi Carol, it was brilliant on Saturday and can't wait to do it again but sorry you didn't make it. I thought I'd never get to the posts today, three deliveries of craft stuff, one delivery of a surprise raffle prize, walking dogs, sorting mum's vaccination, trying to finish some cards and that's without the usual stuff like cooking Lol! Your desk looks nice and organised today. Wishing you a lovely creative week, Angela x19x

I’m ridiculously late for a WOYWW post, but wanted to say that the zoom thing was fun, we will try it with smaller groups so we can talk more! The little Christmas gift box is lovely, and who could resist the gnomes kit? Love it!

I hope you got the car sorted to your satisfaction, Carol. Sorry you didn't make it to the Zoom session. I have no objection to staged desks - after all, it's "what's on your workdesk," isn't it? Lol! It's nice just to see what people are up to, staged or not!

Happy belated WOYWW,
