A Busy Workdesk

Well, Christmas is over and the new year starts Friday.  We're pretty much done with 2020.  So, for all my desker friends at Julia's Stamping Ground... Happy New Year! I hope 2021 is much better, healthier, freer, and happier. May we be able to be with family, friends, and more.

So now to my desk.  I took my picture yesterday late morning and it was busy.  I was trying to come up with an idea for today's video but it will probably be for next week's video as I'll have to make a few samples in various stages so I won't take a long time.  But late afternoon I got my idea after trying some other ideas that just didn't work.

Let's see.... far left is a pile of stamps and dies in their packages. Center is my Stamp Perfect stamp positioner in use. Behind it is an ink pad and the base of my card (I'll be sharing it on Friday), and cling red rubber stamps on their plastic sheet.  Far right is my Platinum 6.   That pile behind the light on the left is a pile of GKW (goodness knows what) that really needs to be cleaned out and put away.

We were so blessed Christmas Day to do a Google Meet with our 3 kids and their families. We haven't seen any in person for over a year. I miss them all so much. Hopefully this next summer we can head north to WY as see 2 of the 3 plus our granddaughter and her family. The other is in CA and that state isn't friendly at all.

So please head over to the Stamping Ground and check out the other desker's links. And I'll be seeing you deskers next year!

Hope you do manage to see your children and their families in person next year Carol. We were lucky enough to be able to share Christmas day at least with all three of our boys under the pared down regulations. Stay safe, happy WOYWW and Happy New Year. Sarah #9

It's hard for families but we have to be sensible if we are going to get out of this awful mess and it sounds like you are doing your best. I worry all the time as we have to visit my mum for care assistance otherwise she would need even more people in the house for cleaning and shopping (she is too disabled to even take in deliveries. When we are not visiting we are ordering her shopping, medical needs etc so busy all the time. Hoping for a better New Year. Sending woyww hugs, Angela x17x

Oh the separation is horrid isn’t it! a I can deal with it on my terms, but when I WANT to see them and can’t, it becomes very difficult, and yep, I miss mine too. And I miss yours for you! Good to see you can immerse yourself for awhile, you’ve certainly hit the post Christmas ground running! I’m working on workshop samples today, and I totally get how your first idea caused you to fiddle about until a real idea turned up, I always think that, I’m in the middle of something and I suddenly thing ‘oh, I could do this and that and that’ and off I go. Love that about stamping! You e got cute hearts and a clever fold going on there, valentines already. you are on it!

I'm sorry you've had such a long enforced separation from your family, Carol. Thank goodness for modern technology which does at least enable us to see them on screen and have a conversation but it isn't the same. We had a couple of Whatsap sessions with my hubby's family. We were supposed to be sharing Christmas dinner with some of them but it had to be called off because after a meeting a couple of weeks ago, our nephew went down with Covid and the others are still waiting for test results.

Happy belated WOYWW and happy New Year,

Hope you will be able to meet up with your family soon! We moved to Australia in February to be nearer our 4 kids and families. We dis actually manage to all get together on Christmas Day - the fist time since middle son's wedding in Fiji in 2019...
Happy WOYWW!
