Out in the Desert

I have a bunch of great stamps and dies by Impressions Obsession and this die set is one of my favorites.

I used Fun Stampers Journey and Spellbinders card stocks. That one directly behind the cacti is one of their new ones, Portobello. It's100 lb. card stock. I will be playing with more of Spellbinders new card stocks soon.

I used a micro adhesive sheet called Sticky Specks on the cacti die cut. Sadly it left gunk around the edges of the cacti that I couldn't get off.

You can just see the adhesive around the edges. I have to say, I'm not impressed. I also had to shim this die as it didn't want to cut cleanly around the smaller cacti. This was my 2nd attempt and with the shim it was better but it still had some cuts that didn't go through cleanly.

This scene reminds me of Monument Valley in northeast AZ and southeast UT. We've been there and even took a ride in the back of a 4 wheel drive pickup through the back country. What an experience!

Stampin Carol

Good and upright is the Lord; therefore He teaches sinners in the way.  Psalm 25:8
