A Tidy, But Not Tidy, Desk

I finally got back to my desk Monday after taking a few days off to plant flowers and veggies and clean our patio. We're taking meals out there now as the weather is so warm. But now I'm back to creating and yesterday I prepped for this morning's video and even made a card after my prep! But my desk has been kinda tidied and things pushed to the side.

And this post is linked up to Julia's Stamping Ground blog along with oodles of other gals who are brave enough to share their desks. This is week 618.

Later this morning I'll cover my glass mat with a large sheet of white card stock and my website name and get my phone cable hooked up.  I start my video on my FaceBook page, Stampin Carol - Lots of Crafty Goodness then save it to my computer to upload to my YouTube channel.

Anyway, my desk. Far left is a bookmark where I have done my first ever zentangle. (At our local March stamp club meeting it was taught as a class.) The red card stock in the upper left of my glass mat is the base pieces for my "windshield wiper" card. Next is the Art Impressions stamp set I used for the cover which is sitting on the red pieces.  Then my Spellbinders Tool N One and Corner Chomper. My water spayer is still there for some reason... I just didn't get it put away. Then my Magic mat and Platinum 6 machine. There's lots more between the glass mat and ink pad rack.

Here's a closer look at the bookmark.

I used about 9 different designs on this. What a hoot! In the top rectangle top half are 3 designs and 1 design on the bottom half.  In my initial there are 5 designs. This was fun to learn but probably not something I'll do a lot of.

If you'd like please leave a comment but also please check out the other desks on Julia's blog!

Hi Carol. Trust your video has gone well - will take a peek later... I enjoy going and getting some ideas and thoughts. You have been busy today - two cards already!, plus your video... and yet your desk still looks tidy.
Take care. God bless.

You're very lucky to be able to sit outside as it's still really cold here in the UK. I love Zentangle but don't do it very often as I find it rather time consuming and for some reason it makes me feel really sleepy which is probably because it's so relaxing to do. good luck with the video too. Sending big hugs and wishing you a very happy and creative woyww, Angela x17x

I love Zentangling, it is very meditative and therapeutic, but I tend to get stuck in a rut with the same patterns. Love your bookmark. Happy WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#14)

You are obviously not in England - it is so cold here at the moment.
Lovely tangle you did - I am hopeless - just not neat enough to make them look good. Well done!

I loved Zentangling but it has kinda fallen off my radar in recent years - I did the panels of hubby's iPad cover in a Zentangle style using a sharpie and it held up pretty well even now (although the iPad has been superseded by a few new versions since I did it LOL!) You've reminded me of a use for my glass mat that I forgot - not for filming, but inside a spray box. Cheers :)
Catching up on the last few!

What a gorgeous tangled bookmark, Carol. I love Zentangle and have done loads, but not recently. I do so many different things and tend to ring the changes - times and seasons for this and that! It is very relaxing and fun to do. Once you start experimenting with shading, the whole thing becomes totally amazing and you can get some fantastic 3-D effects with it.

Happy belated WOYWW,

Super duper zentangle, not done that is ages. Glad you like my pond, just been setting up the pond-cam, the birds are loving it. Not happy with the pigeon though, oh well! Thanks for the visit BJ#5
