I'm Wiping This Card

Yesterday I made my Wednesday Weekly Live Video on my FaceBook page, Stampin Carol - Lots of Crafty Goodness, making this fun Wiper Card. I taught this card years ago and came across the directions Tuesday. Too good and fun to pass up.

You can find my video uploaded to my YouTube channel dated yesterday. The link is in my sidebar but you need to scroll down a bit.

This is the card closed.  At this point you have no idea what this card does but it is interactive.

When you open it up pops a frog! My original card was a Valentine card dated 2011. Yep, it's been that long! Ready for the directions?

Cut 2 pieces of card stock at 4 1/4" x 8 1/2". Score each at 1 1/2", turn over and score at 3". Fold to look like the pieces above. (You know that you fold away from the score....)

Cut 1 or 2 pieces of card stock at 1 1/2" x 3".  You need 1 if you only want 1 wiper and 2 for 2 wipers.  They will be scored from a point to the center as shown. You need to fold them opposite corners. I give more info on my video. You will need to cut just a bit off the folded corner to look like the one below.

You will place the left on on the card as shown with the cut off corner up against the 3" fold. Apply adhesive to the folded down piece. Again, I give more info in the video. At this point fold over the card base to adhere the flap.

This is what your card inside should look like. If you want the other wiper on the right, reverse everything, like a mirror image.

At this point you will apply adhesive to the very end flaps. You can see how the card is supposed to be in this next photo. I showed this step on my video.

If you decided on 2 wipers there would be another on the right side. I adhered my frog using the new Bearly Art Glue. It has a fabulous very fine tip!

I used a fun stamp set from Art Impressions called Frog Set. This set is so fun! I colored with colored pencils. I also used a cool stencil from Kiwi Lane to make the water waves and a cloud stencil for the clouds but I see that my ink is turning grey. Sadly I do not have a reinker for it but will have to see if there is one still available.

Let me know if you try this card. And check out the video, it may help. And check out my links.  Sales of the products I share is my main source of income.
