Workdesk Wednesday After Retreat

Last week I was heading to a retreat in the greater Phoenix, AZ area on this day and so, no desk. But today... ugh.  I did get unpacked Monday, photos taken of the finished projects, and yesterday I worked on a 2 page layout.  I'm VERY new at this!  So my desk is a total disaster, as is my floor! Yep, papers used were placed on the floor as I had NO desk space.  And today's views are part of the group joining up with Julia at the Stamping Ground.

At the retreat I took a class making a 2 page layout using Kiwi Lane and Photo Play products.  Fun!  I've done a little bit of scrapbooking but not like this! The layout on my desk are not the pages we did at the retreat. I had 8 pictures from 2017 that fit the paper theme so I printed them out and got busy.  I still have journaling and making a title but that will happen soon.  I'll share all 4 pages next week.

Here's the paper pack and a pack of my card stock that coordinated. Also some TomBox markers and a 12x12 paper holder full of stuff I purchased in Phoenix along with stuff I had.

I had a blast at the retreat. There was only 22 of us and we were relatively well spaced.  Masks were not required in our room but were when we left it. We had a few classes scheduled so I also made a cool book! I didn't take the card making class. We also played some games for prizes.

We "fished" for prizes.  I won a 6 x 6 pack of Moda Scrap paper called My Little Girl.  I won some shark socks in a drawing that look to be hand made. Cute but not wearable. There was SO much food! I have to start back on my tread mill but seems right now I'm trying to get projects finished and blog posts made!

This was my friend Carol's car after we got all our stuff loaded.

Her car is quite a bit bigger than mine and new so it was no contest whose we took.  Her stuff is on the left and mine is on the right. That blue crate holds paper. That baby is HEAVY!  She was very productive and got over 40 pages put together so she was very happy!  I got some samples made for my August class and much more!

I hope you check out the links to the other brave gals who are willing to share their desks.

What a lovely time you had at the workshop and I'm glad to see that food plays a large part of the weekend in the US as well as here in the UK, lol! Cake features quite heavily at the Crops :-). I like the thought of the fishing game too, might have to steal that idea for future use! It's amazing that the car wasn't lop sided with your heavy paper box to one side, lol!

I'm so glad you were able to attend a workshop, and that it was so much fun, Carol. It's great that people can start meeting up again in person, isn't it. The back of that car certainly is FULL!! What fun you must all have had.

Sorry for the late visit - time has run away with me this week as I've allowed myself to become completely addicted to my latest cross stitch project! Everything else has taken a bit of a back seat.

Happy belated WOYWW,
