A Pop Up Front Step Panel Card + One

I made my weekly Wednesday video yesterday making a card I seen for quite some time on Pinterest called a Pop Up Front Step Panel Card.  At least that's what 1 gal called it. But really, I made 2 cards!

(This post contains affiliate links.  When you shop through my links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you! Thanks for your support!)

This is the card I made on the video (also on YouTube, just click the link in the side bar). It was an easy version though the hardest parts were adhering the card together evenly.

I used almost all Fun Stampers Journey products except for my Nuvo Drops and adhesives.  The cool tree and sentiment are from the Whimsy Trees red rubber stamp set. This is a fun set! I used a Create-a-Palette and colored it with assorted blue re-inkers to make my own Kaleidacolor pad. The little wooden snowflake is from my stash.

If you want to make one you will need a card stock cut to 4 1/4" x 10 1/2" then score at 1/2", 1 3/4", 3 3/4", and 5".  The top piece is 3" x 5 3/4" scored at 1/2" and 1 3/4".

Here's a side view. You can see why you need to adhere things evenly.  I actually give fairly good directions on my video and some tips.

This tree was stamped using the Create-a-Palette and you can see the variation of colors I used.  I added some Nuvo Glitter Drops - Blue Lagoon on some of the circles in the tree.  If you have Stickles they would work, too.  This card will fold flat and mail as a standard A2 card. The cool print papers are from the Holiday Cheer Prints pad.

This simple version's layers are:
Base back - 4" x 4"
Base front bottom - 1 3/4" x 4"
Top - 2 3/4" x 3 3/4"

My 2nd card is much more complicated and elaborate.

One of the cards I seen on Pinterest was by a SU! gal and she made a bird house out of the top piece. So, I made a house. The animals were stamped using FSJ's Baby Farm Animals stamp set and coordinating die set.  And the house elements (except for the door knob) I used Sweet Home Accents Die Set.  The house roof was made using FSJ's Reversed Banner die set. I cut it to fit and scored it for texture. The plaid print is from the Create and Bloom Prints pack.

Again, the side view.  I made 4 layers of grass to stick my animals into.

This card is 4 1/4" x 7" so it will need a larger envelope to mail.

I hope these inspire you to give this fun fold a try but watch my video for more info.  I also give a little peek at Spellbinders upcoming Holiday catalog which goes live Aug. 10 but I do have a link to that on my Specials page.

Where can I flee from Your presence? If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead me.  Psalm 139:7, 9
