For The Guys

While I was at the retreat a couple weeks ago I worked on some ideas for my August class.  I was wanting to use some Sizzix dies as I try to used items from the companies that I'm an affiliate for (is this a dangling participle?).

(This post contains affiliate links.  When you shop through my links I may receive a small commission at NO cost to you! Thanks for your support!)

Today I'll share the 2 guy cards that I'm thinking about. Well, I think they'll be good for the class.... I used Tim Holtz' die set called Mixed Media #1 (use this link and not the one below in the product list).

I've seen these dies used by friends overseas and love how they only do a corner. How fun! They leave a place to place a sentiment!  I splattered the one on the left with Fun Stampers Journey's Black Silk but touched the upper right corner before it was dry and it smudged. Ugh.  The right one needed some black gems and I have none so a quick trip to H.L. in Chandler, AZ and found these little black squares.  They were cheap and are cheap.  I hope to get some others before the class.

Here's a closer look at the left card. Pretty cool dies! The print papers for both cards I purchased at the retreat as I have NO prints that I liked.  These are from a pack by Kaisercraft called Workshop. Lots of cool masculine prints!

I did get 1 of 2 gal cards made and will share that one tomorrow.

Stampin Carol

The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.
