Shades of Blue Christmas Card

I got a great Spellbinders die set in way back when as it was on sale at the time.  This is the first time I opened the package and used it! It's called Reindeer Prance Layering Set.  This die set was designed by Becca Feeken, an amazing talent! I actually made 2 cards so you get 1 today and 1 tomorrow!

I used a variety of Spellbinders, Fun Stampers Journey, and Sizzix products to make this card.  The sentiment comes from FSJ's Joyous Bird stamp set. I wrapped a length of Journey Silver thread around the blue rectangle and tied a little bow for the only embellishment.

After I die cut the reindeer panel I sprayed it with my Lovely Blue Pearl Color Splash.  I could NOT get a good picture of the great shimmer of this spray. As to the panel behind it I ran the die cut rectangle through my Sizzix Snowfall/Speckles embossing folder then splattered that with a highly watered down Beach Ball Silk. I just put a drop of the Silk on my glass mat and, using my water Blending Brush, I added water until I got the color I wanted then splattered some of it on the panel.

Are you starting on your Christmas cards yet?
