Workdesk Wednesday and Backgrounds

It's Hump Day... Uh.... Mid-Week.... Uh....  Wednesday! Yep, It's week 574! Can you believe that??  Today is the day I join up with other brave ladies to share whatever my desk looked like mid-afternoon yesterday.  Yeah, I take my picture and prepare my post on Tuesday.  And I connect my post to Julia's Stamping Ground! She's the one who started all this WAY back when. My desk does have a sorta project on it.

I was working on an idea to teach on my video today.  This isn't it.  It was going to be but, nope.  So my desk is kinda messy. The far left is piled with stuff! Lots of dies and such. Between my glass mat and the ink rack are some tools in cups, adhesives, media trays, and bottles of liquid color. Far right is my spray bottle, Platinum 6 machine, and more stuff.  Wondering about those 2 pieces on my mat?

Basically I made these by putting drops of the liquid colors on my mat then spraying with water. Then I sprayed my card stock (sample on left) and laid it in the color on my mat. I added some splatters of another couple products and let dry.  The one on the right, I forgot to spray my paper with water so it didn't turn out quite right. Oh well. Now to figure out what to do with these. They kinda look like galaxy backgrounds.

Please head over to the Stamping Ground and check out the other desk links.   Have a blessed day!

I like them Carol - the colours are so vibrant and I like the random pattern. I used to enjoy doing marbling with the kids in school, it was almost like magic!! Hope you're keeping well,

Hi Carol. I'm with Jan. I like them. Good background pieces, or die cut them as sentiments? That desk doesn't look messy to me... looks loved and lived in!
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

I’m with every one else, they are great pieces, interesting difference between damp and dry cardstock too. I wonder why you decided against it as a video class? I like doing these things but the clean up is always a bit tedious for me, you know how impatient and lazy at the same time that I am! Had to smile that the colours you chose include the lime green. You have totally changed me over the years Carol, whenever I see anything gadgety in lime green, I wonder if you’ve got one!!
