A Butterfly Birthday

I wanted to make another W-Fold style card (first one ever made has not been shared yet) to show at my June 26 class.  I want to give my gals another idea since we'll be making one in class.

I learned a couple things in making this card as I made it more complicated. I used Fun Stampers Journey's Small Things stamp set.  But instead of coloring the butterflies I stamped what I needed on assorted print papers.  I linked those that are available.

I was placing my stamps in selected spots on the print paper, it was not random.

Here you can see the placement of the butterflies inside. I like how they look on and off the center strip.

Here you can see the W fold. But, I learned that to layer the print piece over the solid piece was just too thick.  I had trouble getting a good fold and with paper cracking.

My folds were not even and the center one protruded just a bit beyond the closed card. Not good but then probably wouldn't be noticed by whoever got this card.

This fold cracked.  I tried just a super thin line from my Zig glue pen and hopefully that will help.

I hope this style of card isn't too difficult for my gals.  I already have 8 signed up and I barely put out my newsletter Monday!

Stampin Carol

Neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God.   Romans 8:38-39
