A Popping Out Sunflower

This is my 2nd card using Simon Says Stamp! Sunflower Stem.  I did this one quite different than the first card that I shared 2 days ago. And it looks VERY different! (I am NOT an affiliate for SSS! but a happy customer.)

The majority of the products I used are by Spellbinders and Fun Stampers Journey.

I cut the shadow of the flower out of Whip Cream paper. I then cut the stem out of black for the stem and again out of white for all the petals, center, and leaves.

I again used my Sticky Specks to adhere the stem and outline and had excess residue on the sides of the stem to try and remove.  I used my Jane Davenport Mermaid Markers to color.  I scribbled the colors I wanted on my glass mat then used my small & medium water Blending Brushes to put the color. I decided to add some pale blue to outside the flower on the shadow for depth.  I dotted the center with a gold metallic gel pen and added some Clear Wink of Stella.  The black card front was embossed with FSJ's Bright Days embossing folder.  It's almost impossible to see the embossing even in real life! Oh well.

Again, I really like this fun sunflower die set! Which card do you like better, this one or Wednesday's??
