A Cactus on a Split Front

Yesterday I shared a Split Front card I made and today I'm sharing the one I made on my Wednesday weekly video on FaceBook and now also on my YouTube channel. Right after I took pictures of my card I changed it a bit. So much better now!

All I did was add a circle die cut under the square cactus focal point. Now you can see it! Without the circle the cactus kinda melted into the background.  And how do you like this design!

This fun cactus is from a new company to me, I-Crafter. A friend of mine is on their design team and even got me on their fan club FB page. This die set, My Succulent Terrarium, is my first purchase and I got it through Simon Says Stamp.  The double sided paper is by My Mind's Eye called Happy Days - Cherry Disposition. I purchased it from The Paper Collage in Peoria, AZ.

Do you want to know how to make this style card?  I have my template below.

I marked out my piece of card stock then cut out the template.  I laid the template on my print paper. I needed 2 pieces of paper as one uncut was for the base and the cut one (I used just the top and bottom pieces).  I even cut long strips of 1/2 paper to add to the inside edges of the top and bottom pieces.  They're the brown pieces in the card picture. You need to cut them extra long so that after they're adhered to the top pieces they can be cut to fit on the ends to match the ends.  Clear as mud??  If you have any questions you can check out my YouTube video dated yesterday or go to my FB page, Stampin Carol - Lots of Crafty Goodness, and check out yesterday's video.  Hope I'm not too repetitious!
