A Peace Dove

Now that I'm ready for my class on Friday I'm needing to get my July card samples made so that I can show them at the class.  I do have one gal already signed up for the class kit but she lives in Canada and hopes to be back this winter.  Anyway, I'll be doing a "Christmas is Coming" class which tells you that I'm busy making Christmas cards!

I'm hoping this post works.  For some reason Blogger wouldn't let me use the new format so I reverted to the old for today.

This is actually the 2nd card I made.  The first posted May 8 and you can find it HERE.

I haven't used this cool Fun Stampers Journey red rubber stamp set, Joyous Bird.  It was the Stamp of the Month for October 2019. (FSJ's SOTM is supposed to resume soon but no date has been set.) I also used Spellbinders Candlewick Rectangles die set. After stamping the sentiment I splattered some Sparkle Silk on the top half of the panel before gluing on the pine branch.

It's hard to see but I used one of my smaller Picket Fence Studios blending brushes to add a little bit of a shadow on the dove's belly with Tin Pail ink. I colored the branch with my colored pencils. One can also color the flowers and tail but for this card I didn't want to. I added some pearls for a bit of pop.

How do you like this card?
