Haunted Houses!

I like making little goody boxes for the youngest in our family and I made these for the 2 great grandsons. I'm betting they'll be able to go trick or treating to some extent but I have to add to their fun.

I used a newly release die set from Spellbinders called Spooky Cottage and knew immediately what I wanted to do when I first seen it. And I pretty much followed/cased what was shown in the Holiday 2020 catalog (link is on my Spellbinders, FSJ, & More Specials page, tab is up above).  This die set was made to work with Spellbinders Charming Cottage Box which I've had fun using for Christmas goodies.

These boxes are pretty much identical except for the initials on the back.

I used an old Spellbinders die set called Alphabet and the letters are 2" tall and embossed.

The sides are quite detailed with a stained glass window, a tree, a wrought iron fence, and a bat. The fence and tree are lightly embossed. I didn't take a photo of the door but it is very detailed and I backed it with a piece of yellow card stock.

I tried to get a good photo of the roof as I sprayed the card stock with Sheer Shimmer, a cool spray I got from Simon Says Stamp, before die cutting. I also sprayed the bats before cutting, too.

I used a wide variety of Fun Stampers Journey card stocks. I listed them below.

I will remove the mummies to open the boxes and add my goodies.  I got a few things that will fit in the boxes. Do you do things like this for the little ones in your family?
