Christmas Woods

I recently purchased a new to me die set from Sizzix called Woodlands (use this link, the link below in the product list doesn't work) but wanted to use it on a slimline card.  I wasn't sure what I was going to do but finally came up with a cool card.

The gorgeous snowflake paper is from my favorite little scrapbook store in west Phoenix, AZ called The Paper Collage.  Pamela designed this paper and so much other fabulous papers.

I was having a frustrating afternoon prior to making this trying to get a bill resolved through my Medicare advantage plan.  Not succeeding! Hopefully tomorrow... Anyway, that frustration did cause a BIG boo boo.  I adhered the card front with the fold on the WRONG side! I destroyed my folded card base but did save the front and put it on a new base.

I punched a star from some glitter paper from my stash and added some Frosty Lace Stickles on the branches to represent snow. I remember at our northwest WY home the pines were absolutely gorgeous with snow and frost on them. The air would be so cold and crisp. The horses would be very frisky and not easy to ride.

I used some Crystal Stickles on the ground for snow. It has a slightly different color.

This card brought out some memories. Do you have pines around you? Snow?
