A Spring Birdhouse

When I seen the new birdhouse die sets by Spellbinders I just had to get them! They are adorable!

When I originally made this card it only had flowers across the bottom of the birdhouse but then I showed it to my hubby and.... oops!

This is the original card.

I added smudges to the birdhouse to give it a bit of age. You can't even see the embossing on the front of the birdhouse. I was hoping it would show up with the smudges but... not really. I also added some ink to the corrugated brown post.

You can barely make it out with a close up. You can also see the Liquid Pearls I added to the flower centers. I got a bunch from a friend at stamp club that was cleaning out her stash to move. But this next picture shows what happened when hubby held the card to look closer at it.

Sadly, he had dirty fingers. See the greasy smudge.... Well, the next morning I fixed it.

I think my fix looks pretty good! What do you think? Inside I'll use a stamp from Spellbinders new Tweet Sentiments clear stamp set. I used a few scraps to make most of the pieces. I have a tendency to save all my little pieces just for projects like this, do you?
