Just Because

A week ago I got my 2 new Project Kits (Buzzworthy and Sweet Cardlets) and started making the cards this weekend! Oh my gosh are they cute! The Project Kits come with most all the products needed along with precut card kits so you usually just need your adhesives and inks.

I have a tendency to not follow the directions and/or change things up a bit and I did on this card.  I love the Block Prints stamp set as there are 3 gorgeous floral blocks and 3 sentiments.

This card wasn't difficult but it took a bit of time.  I didn't clear emboss the beautiful sunflower as I was in too much of a hurry. It didn't say to do that on the instructions included but Kim's video on making the cards did include it. Also I changed the sentiment to something I probably would use over the Miss You. The top yellow layer was a Whip Cream panel colored using my large Dauber and some Lemon Drop Liquid Color. You gotta watch the video for this.

I used my stamp positioner to stamp the flower. I first inked it in Orange Creamsicle all over. Then I cleaned my stamp and inked the bottom 2/3 with Summer Days, cleaned my stamp and inked the bottom 1/3 with Tangerine Fusion.  I cleaned my stamp again and inked the whole stamp with the Orange Creamsicle again. So, that's 4 timed I inked and stamped my flower.  Before I splattered my yellow layer with Black Silk I ran it through my Platinum 6 and embossed it with the new Sweet Honeycomb stencil... yes, stencil.

I think this turned out gorgeous!! What do you think?  I will add links below for everything used.
