Christmas Mouse on Saran Wrap

Huh? Well, yesterday I made my weekly FB Live video (Stampin Carol - Lots of Crafty Goodness) showing how to make backgrounds using Saran Wrap and glossy paper. I taught this technique years ago when I taught classes at Green Valley Recreation in Green Valley, AZ.

My video is on YouTube dated yesterday, too. I forgot all about this technique until I was cleaning out a drawer and came across my technique cards. This technique requires glossy paper, not photo paper. And it really should be carefully heat set to set the inks.

This is not the card I made on my video but the one I showed before making the one on the video. I made a total of 5 samples and have only 2 samples made into cards.  I decided to use Spellbinders cute little Jolly Mitten Mouse die set. The pinkish mitten cuff & hat, the white hat edge and top, and Jolly all use glitter paper from my stash. The little red dots are from a pack of Stampendous red vinyl stickers also from my stash.

Isn't this little critter adorable! And check out the background! I used 2 different colors to make the background.

I embossed the mitten and adhered 3 layers to make the Jolly, 1 glitter paper and 2 white. Also, this card is only 5" tall rather than the standard 5 1/2".

If you try this after watching my video, upload a picture of it in the comments of my video on my FaceBook page! I'd love to see what you made!
