You Got This - Coffee

Happy May Day!!

This week has been tough for my creativity.  Maybe it went on vacation, I don't know.  Anyway, I was wanting to use some new to me products that I got in the last few months.  It took all Wednesday morning to FINALLY make this card.

The cool Coffee Heartbeat die is made by Divinity Designs.  I got it at the Mesa, AZ Scrapbook Expo back in early March. I plan on using it in a coffee themed class sometime this year.  The coffee cup background is made by Picket Fence Studios, Need More Caffeine, but I got it through Simon Says Stamp! I colored it with my Jane Davenport Mermaid Markers.  These are very vibrant water color brush markers. I layered a piece of vellum over it to mute it just a bit to let the coffee die pop.

I even got out my Crop-A-Dile and used it to attach the vellum to the stamped piece! If it hadn't been in its case I would have had to blow the dust off!  I also used a stapler to attach the ends of the die cut to the stamped piece.  You can see an extra hole by the staples as my Fun Stampers Journey stapler jammed badly and, after getting the small piece of staple finally out, became out of alignment. But with the aid of a small fine straight screwdriver I made it work again, YAY!  I got out my ancient The Angel Company stapler and it worked fine. The sentiment is from FSJ's Coffee Helps stamp set.

So I guess this didn't turn out too badly.  Hopefully today my mojo is back as I need to make a video!!
