Spirelli Circles and Die Cuts

Yesterday I found a few small clear plastic boxes of die cuts, unfinished card kits from classes I taught, and more! In the box were some scallop die cut circles and I thought, ah ha! Spirelli!  What a cool technique!

Here are the 3 circles.  I completed 2 cards but still have to do something with the silver circle.  The center pieces are from something I started a couple years ago.  I'm not sure what all I used! I will have links at the bottom of this post with what I know I used.

I wrapped part of the circle with the Lemon Grass Thread and it kinda looks like a basket to me.  After adding the 2 branches and center I added some Rainbow Drops for embellishments.  I sprayed the embossed layer with Sour Lemon Splash for a bit of color.

I think this center was for an Easter card but it works great otherwise!

This black circle was wound with Silver Thread.  This circle is symmetrical so all the windings meet right in the center of the circle. Again the same center piece and more Rainbow Drops.

I think these cards would be great to encourage someone.

Do you have oodles of die cuts, bits & pieces, and unfinished cards?  Get them out and play!
