A Tropical Locked Gatefold Card

Last Friday I made a video showing how to make a Locked Gatefold card.  This was new to me and it turned out pretty good for my first attempt! This video is on YouTube dated May 8, my link is in the sidebar.

The oval on the cover is the locking mechanism.  You will see how it works below in the open card photo.

I used products that were part of Fun Stampers Journey's RSVP collection a couple years ago.  The collection name is no more but the products are on sale now!  I used 2 stamp sets: In The Tropics and its coordinating die set and Spread Love. This stamp set is no longer available, a surprise to me!  The paper is part of the RSVP Prints pack.  The Happy Birthday is from the Inside & Out stamp set.  This set has gotten a lot of use from me!

Here's the card open.  Again I used a piece of the RSVP Prints for the sentiment. I sprayed the corners with FSJ's Color Splash called Electric Lime.  I was trying for a lighter spray but didn't succeed. Oh well.

After inking the leaf with Lemon Grass ink I went around it and added some Kiwi Slice ink to give it a bit of dimension. I tried to do that with the flower but I couldn't get the look I wanted. I added some pink dots (retired FSJ embellishments).

Have you made one of these cards?
