Workdesk Wednesday and a Wreath

Well, it's Wednesday again. Not much has been happening.  I'm working my regular 2 days a week, cleaning around the house some, and spending time at my work desk.  Hubby's been puttering in his shop, trimming the mesquite trees, and what not. I have to admit I've been glued to a Netflix documentary called "Making a Murderer."  It's a LONG series of episodes but I've been hooked!

But today is your opportunity to take a look at my desk. And I link up with Julia at the Stamping Ground and have been for YEARS! This is week 570, yes, 570 Wednesdays!!! Can you name any other blog hop that's lasted this long? Anyway, this picture was taken yesterday afternoon.

I was working on a card front using the Herringbone technique.  This is a great way to use up scraps of strips.  I'm planning on making this card on a video today. On the white area of my glass mat is some completed samples (also knows as UFOs - unfinished projects) and a card. Far left is some scraps of white card stock that I have left over from a couple projects and just past that is my paper trimmer and white foam tape. Far right is my Platinum 6 with my stamp cleaning rag sitting on it. I worked at finishing the samples to show.

Last week I shared a wreath I made that needed something at the top. Early afternoon that day (last Wednesday) I got on my treadmill and while I was walking I seen the large plastic poinsettia sitting in a box on top of the box our small faux Christmas tree is in. Oh my gosh!!  It is perfect!

I love those ah ha moments!!  This is fabulous!  Yes, I LOVE it!

Well, that's it for now.  I hope you check out the links at the Stamping Ground!

Hi Carol, great job at finishing the wreath, how perfect is the colour? I love using card scraps to make 'new sheets' of cardstock for projects. Have a lovely week, Stay safe, Hugs, Shaz #8 X

Hi Carol. That poinsettia is exactly right there at the top of your wreath! Well spotted. Just think... if you had gone out for your walk that day, instead, you wouldn't have seen it!! Hope the video goes well for the herringbone technique. Enjoy.
Take care of yourselves. Stay safe. God bless.

The poinsettia certainly finishes the wreath off perfectly Carol. I must look into that Netflix programme. Have you seen Mind Hunter? It is also a Netflix programme and is based around the way that the FBI's BAU got started. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #5

It's good to keep busy isn't it? My hubby is pottering and doing all sorts of jobs too and I'm enjoying not feeling guilty having the time to craft! That poinsettia was perfect, good spot!

What a match indeed they were meant to be together, much more unique than just using a bow. Well done on using up those scraps, there's always plenty of them left around in my house. Happy WoywW, take care & carry on watching that series it's a great way of passing away extra time Tracey #6

Oh that certainly is the finishing touch to that wreath! Such a lovely shade of blue. I am not familiar with the herringbone technique but I can probably hazard a guess - may have to check that one out!! Happy WOYWW, Stay safe, stay well, Cindy #18

Oooh Carol, the finishing touch on your wreath is perfect! Well done you! The paper piecing cards look fascinating - just like patchwork! I hope you will show us those when they are finished. It sounds as if you've got a nice lot going on to keep you busy. Thank you for visiting and I'm glad you like all my projects. My sproutings are going very well and I've now started blogging separately about them, and I've done a few more experimental recipes since Wednesday! Life is full of interest.

Happy belated WOYWW,
